It's amazing how many people have experience of others lying when it comes to accidents. But then I know people who lie to claim on their home ins. when something old needs replacing. I think its bad karma to do that.

Michelle, I know exactly what you mean re. the presents. My dd got a top for her birthday, (a year too small for her) with the tags on still from debenhams, It seemed familiar as I had bought it for my neice for her birthday earlier in the year and my inlaws had kindly given it back!
It's the effort put in not the amount spent thats important.Oh, and I also started shopping in the jan sales on boxing day morning on amazon (fantastic 70% off perfumes!)

Cath the cottage we moved from (as it was too small) is 2 rooms bigger than the ones I have been looking at on rightmove! Although they could be extended , mortgage would be smaller but probably bigger after extending.
A year after we sold ours the village was in the daily mail as being the place that had shot up the most in the country house price wise, perfect timing by us again!
It's worth keeping an eye out in the future though, there is one main road with lots of thatched cottages with fields behind them, that I used to walk past with dd in the pram and daydream.:D

If you google north stifford village, you can have a nosey! shh!

Have been to the inlaws for lunch which was ok , feeling slightly more human now and raring to go next week.
    • I plan to empty out the freezer and see if there is anything useable in there, its very frosted up and full of old bags of veg that i don't fancy eating. Once that's done I'll have a bit of room for some batch cooking.
    • Do surveys EVERY day, not just when I'm in the mood.
    • Write a list and do full inventory of what I've got for xmas so far, once I've located it all ( my kids not really included as they change their minds so often)
    • get something for 3x father's for sunday(already got 3x funky pidgeon cards for free today via grabbit;))
    • do a bit of ironing
    • do lots of hours for dh, running behind due to lots of illness this week.

I constantly have to force myself to do the surveys and reviews hon, but it is worth it doing a bit every day as it starts to add up.

Can any of the freezer veg turn into a curry or a soup? It certainly is the weather for it here.

A fairly productive day today, I defrosted the freezer :T It may not sound much but there was way more ice than there was food.:o

Everyone had freezer leftovers for dinner, now there is not much left.I will have to do some batch cooking and stock up on chicken for the kids.
I am trying to make more of an effort so have made my own bread the last 2 days running, it's so hard to cut though I'm currently getting about 7 wonky slices per loaf.:D
    • I have done some tolua surveys for the first time today

:j I've just had a very nice unexpected surprise.

I have had my child tax credit award cancelled this april as the upper limit changed, I have checked my form and noticed that last year's money included dh's share dividends of £8k ish, this years won't.
It turns out that we may still get £10 per week ctc, I can't believe that I did'nt know that, I thought that the upper limit was now £18k ish, but its around £40k.

If it goes through ok, I might also get £100 backdated. All for the op pot!

    Another long deleted post!

Today I need to check the acct's and hopefully pinch some for op's. I'm going to cancel our second holiday as well, the final payment is due sat of £420, so I need to keep some back to help with the cost of fitting the bathroom, but I have to op some as well.

This week i'm trying to do double the amount of work I do for dh as last week ds2 and I were ill so I got really behind. The washing and ironing seems to have piled up as well, its around 3-4 loads a day so being ill for a couple of days and its soon out of hand.

I have put by a dart board set for ds2's birthday at argos which i need to collect by today, the kids' birthdays are slowly coming together for next month.Although i still need to work out what we are doing for the twins' birthday treat, they both have different ideas and I don't want to do 2 seperate do's.

Hoping for sunshine today so I can get lots of washing done, yesterday was a wash out, and I did'nt want to have the TD on all day.

I have worked out that if we op'd like mad and had 1 cheap holiday a year, putting everything towards the mortgage, we could pay it off when the twins are 18 (they are nearly 11), however dh would have to stop getting his £120 pm, and I would need to live on £30 less.

This is not a possibility, but maybe its an incentive to start bringing more in. I have not ebayed for a long time and we have a house and loft full of stuff, which would be good for a boot sale if not ebay.
Ideally it would be great to start a little ebay buisness if I could think of something smallish and not too expensive to sell. I have thought about this before, but nothing has come of it.

After transfering this weeks wages around the houses, I have decided to op £100 this week out of the holiday money we don't need anymore. After that I will spend the day ironing.:(
