Hi Iris, I ordered mine online to collect instore, but it was £5 cheaper at JL than the CK website.

I feel a bit guilty buying it, as I really don't have a lot of money at the moment as we are trying to clear the remander of the cc bal in the next 2 months that we did'nt put on the new 0%. Plus dh has said I might not be able to do £50 per week worth of work, which is a right pain as thats what I'm using for food and petrol now (plus another £150pm from the budget).

Still have bits to get for the kids birthdays in a few weeks, plus some sort of treat for the boy's and small party for dd. I need more at the moment not less! I think it may be time to sort out photo's for ebay and get a lesson from dd how to do it.:o

Onepoll money should come through soon, but the only place that will be going is the mortgage , I did'nt go through 2 million questions to have the money disappear somewhere else.:rotfl:

I always send small amounts of money made straight to the mortgage otherwise they easily get swallowed up in day to day living expenses.

I'm at £37.30 on OP so can't see me achieving it this week and we go away on Monday.

A nice shopping trip today, I picked up my sewing basket and its lovely, I also got my friend a cath kidston mini sewing kit in the sale for xmas and treated the kids to a kfc bucket for lunch.

I've been looking through the new school paperwork and they usually ask for a £15 per year donation per family, this has been changed for the new pupils to a £5 per month direct debit! Quite a big jump I think, it's for general fund raising. I'm hoping that we can still pay the £15 per year through our eldest, as I really don't want to pay the school £60 (if it's still per family , if not £180!). Don't they know we are in a recession, mind you judging by some of the gas guzzlers parked in the playgound for the school meeting last night maybe we are'nt.

One of the mum's said to her son, oh walk back here tonight and I'll get you from here, so i said sorry they are going to my mum's, which was sort of true she had asked us round, I just feel a bit overwhelmed at the moment by the amount of kids we have in and out, and to be honest i want to start being tougher, I would never have assumed mine could go back to someone else's house without being asked.
God that sounds really harsh! Its a very small minority of parents who can be that way inclined, but she only had one child, it makes a difference when you have 3x the friends to deal with.

    .

I have 3 children and would never take a liberty like this with another parent!
Parents of one child don't slate me for this but I often find that it's parents of one child who can be the biggest liberty takers. As their 1 child is obviously the single most important thing in their life, I think sometimes they tend to assume they'll be as important to every one else too :(

I heard from another parent yesterday that the parent in question did'nt turn up on time to collect her son from his first day , he was left outside when the older kids came out.
To be honest auntie mabel its more a case of him being very spoilt but maybe a slight inconvienience to their lifestyle iygwim.

Tonight I have helped join ds2 to young poll, it was his idea, he wanted to know if kids can do surveys for money too, its good but I'm going to find it even harder to use my laptop now.;)

Tomorrow, I'm going to try and sort out dd's birthday presents, and dig out what i've bought so far.

2 of mine are on YP and I must warn you that it's really slow going and they earn "about" 30p a week. ( 3 surveys ) you get £5 for signing up and the other £15 you need to get to payout takes about a year. We've been paid out by them no problems but the lads are reluctant to do it again and start from scratch.

The surveys are really easy though. Good on your DS for wanting to earn money.
I can't be bothered updating this anymore

I think it shows a good ethic wanting to do it too. I'm training mine from a young age that money has to be saved or earned. I hope they learn the lesson the easy way so i have less worry about them.

Is that the only one that he can do? I don't know if others let them join at 13?

I don't know michelle, he is only 10 still at the moment so may well lose interest when it takes a long time.

My boys have been in and out of bad giggling until nearly 10 tonight, why don't they ever get tired? They are now both banned from all electronics tomorrow.

Blimey, just realised I've not posted for a few days, thats not like me!
Its been a busy weekend so far, yesterday I spent lots of money on flowers for the garden and we spent the day clearing the junk out there and planting up pots. All in all I spent about £37 on plants and £13 on gravel to finish off some concrete in front of the log cabin.
Its looking so much better now, i might actually let people go out there when they visit.

We also had a 40th party, which was in a hall with a bar which only charged £3 for 2x drinks, bargin! Lots of wine drunk by me and strangely no headache today.

DH is going with a friend today and 2x ds's to their first festival:eek:
they have tickets for the day, as dh's fav. ever singer prince is on, I am a bit nervous though as it's such a long day and I'm not going too. DH will have a list of do's and don'ts as long as your arm when he leaves I think. So a lazy day with just dd for me, I should take her out somewhere( although no car), but knowing my dd she will want to stay in, eat chocolate and watch tv.

I might see if dh wants to go to a boot sale quickly this morning beforehand as I'm on the look out for an old pine dresser to paint for the dinning area, and on ebay they are going for crazy money. I shall be back later with some mf aims for the month, (another idea stolen from michelle ;))

I've reported the post above mine as spam. Not sure what the poster is saying there.

I hope you find a suitable dresser. Ebay might be another possibility if you search based on distance.

I see you stole my targets idea - all the best ideas are stolen. I can't remember where i got it from. :rotfl:
