Thanks Vix, yes she did get some good news 😁 she is going in for an induction tomorrow and is very pleased. Hopefully she can still work on what she wants to do further down the line (events) but in the meantime it seems like a good job for her, only eight hours to date with but at least it’s a foot in the door. 

Busy day for once today, lots of ironing while it’s cooler and I made another jack Monroe recipe today -  come to bed parmigiana, which was simple and lovely , not sure it would be dh’s choice as it’s vegan so no mounds of mince, but I loved it and will make it again.

My nextdoor neighbour is having a birthday party in the garden ☹️ The kind with quite a few 19/20 year old friends, all doing those balloons and had canister thingys. His mum is there too!  She often stops to tell me how badly her son is doing and the trouble he gets into, our boys are one month apart in age. She tells me I’m really “lucky“ as my boys are so well behaved 🤦🏼‍♀️ Easy to be smug I guess, but for goodness sake why do some parents feel like they can’t say no! Rant over 😆
