It’s too late, he has bought Lycra 😂 “specially” padded cycling shorts, He has thank goodness put normal shorts over the top. I’m teasing him, but I am pleased he’s trying out a new hobby just not convinced it’s going to last!No finances or transfers done today as I was out this morning at the park with my brother which was lovely, lots of birds including many parakeets. This afternoon I was on the phone forever with family again! Trying to keep great aunts spirits up which can be very hard, she’s waiting on Covid test results for my 87 year old uncle, and lives in a high rise. Once they get the all clear (pretty sure they will) I’ll met her at the park as she’s near the same one as my brother.Next door had a few friends over for drinks and music for ages today, a nice cosy chat all next to each other 😒 It’s all starting to make me very angry when my dd has moved out for almost three months now.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6

Hmm, unfortunately I’m beginning to see the appeal of padded cycling shorts... (under shorts).
I totally get where you’re coming from about the rules... it makes me mad!

Still not finished doing the payday shuffle this week, most things are done except the mortgage ops and updating of the mfw thread. Yesterday was emm@ bridgew@ter delivery day 😬 my £100 gifted money was spent on a few plates, an egg cup and a platter, all seconds - mostly you can’t tell. I think it’s turning into a bit of an obsession during lockdown!Food spending went over by £48 for may and we had a huge £140 odd shop at the end of April added onto the figures. Today’s shop will come from June’s budget, but we are catching up. Hair home dye kit has been refunded after waiting weeks for it 😡 but I’ve managed to put some into my Asda shop today, not sure why I didn’t think of that before, who know what will happen, my guess is orange roots 😆
Back later with an update on figures. Definitely.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁8 -

Wow it’s busy on the mfw thread lately! Not much to report here really, lots of meeting up happening this week now, mum and great aunt yesterday and friends tonight (all in the garden). Ds1 is happy as he met his friends at the park yesterday, they all took a chair and sat apart, he is usually out four or five times a week at gigs in London so it’s probably him that’s had the biggest change in our house.Today I’ve ordered a few bits from asd@ home, one of those summer /winter quilts as we currently just have a 13.5 tog on 😱 plus a few pillows and a duvet set,I did debate getting an expensive high thread count one, but the thought if the ironing has put one off for the moment, so I’ve ordered a pinstripe one for £12 that had good reviews.£2 op made today.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4

Great update Newgirly. Bedding is one of few things I actually iron but I have spotted there a 'crease free' spray now.Talking about CP (I do love it but have only ever been during Winter Wonderland) I think we are more tempted by staycations now due to C0VID. We're still quite restricted here but a small minority seem to think lockdown is completely over.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!5

Never heard of a crease free spray, I wonder how much you need to use 🤔 Will you book anything for this year do you think Cath?Nothing to report here except being fed up, am in bed early and will make an effort to do more and perk up a bit tomorrow.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6
