:rotfl: I must have been one of the poor kids then Ed, never heard of jansport :D I have heard of rucanor though Daisy, perhaps they are still around?

Hi greent, I do remember step classes , and aerobics classes where you went in a sports hall with 150 others and got yelled at by a woman with a microphone

I might have to go for a matching "shell" suit to go with the new bag perhaps :D

We used to have rucksacks (blue or creamy-beige) from Army & Navy stores - but change the straps so they were worn as a long shoulder bag. The bags were great for writing on (band names/ logos) and you could fray the side edge flaps and then plait them......

Come VIth form I think I just carried all my lever arch files in my arms :D

ETA: Head bags were more of a thing when I was in my early 20s - I remember having an ivory one to take my kit to work when I did step classes (remember those?!)

Blue were always my choice greent, covered like you say with heavy metal band names but I missed a trick with the plaiting :o. Ours came with long strap so we're worn on the shoulder too :T

I would think of the head bags as 'workout' bags too. The pale pink one always seemed to me unbelievably (and unattainably) classy. Not for the likes of me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: even though I have been to step classes and indeed had some step workout videos, yes videos :T:T:T

Best decision is to prioritize your credit card payment and other debts and then the rest will follow.

Oops I've not posted for quite a while (for me anyway!) this week has been quite busy and I've been trying to get to the gym and /or pool every day. I already feel like it's making a difference and I'm happier being able to eat some naughty stuff (creme eggs again :D) and just working it off (1lb off last week) 102 lengths yesterday at 7am and then out for dinner at prezz* last night with dh, using a buy a gift voucher of course :money:

    Lots to do today -

Passports :wall: they will be dearer as it goes up on Monday, not even started it yet and boys forgot to get photos done :(

Buy railcards for dh and I (two together) and the boys 16-25 apparently there is 25% off , hopefully ive not missed the boat
    discount wise

Book train to york -2 nights in easter hols :T

Sort loan paperwork out - dh had to ring as they forgot to send it apparently!

Do the money shuffle as yesterday was payday :D

Go to gym and pool with best friend

Do Everest of ironing, it's built up as the sky mini box is broken upstairs and it's boring ironing without the tv :o they came last Sunday and fixed it but it's gone again.

Plan Easter Sunday lunch - table cones of sweeties already made and a hamper of eggs as a grand prize for whoever wins the board game they play. Will probably do a roast lamb/ turkey and Costco fudge cake covered in various eggs.

    Relax :)

Mfw 2018 figures updated today, very pleased to be under £40k for the first time in since about 1995 when we bought our first flat! Funny when you think about it in those terms :D

This month I did pay off less than expected, as I paid the balance of our mini cruise which was £610, it will even out over the months though so all good.

Still fourteen months to go as I added an extra one to ease things a bit, if we can stick to it this time next year our balance would be £5,974 - can't believe it's so close!

Did a bit of swimming and went to the gym, came home and had a bag of mini eggs :rotfl: seems I can only manage to be good weekdays.

Lazy day today -hooray! Dh going to the cinema, while I wait for the sky engineer. Still have paperwork to sort out, if I post the loan stuff the money should hit the account within a few days and then I can apply for credit cards and hopefully make transfers asap, how many is it possible to get in a short space of time and how close to the 25k loan will we be able to borrow I wonder.....

Have you thought about doing the passport applications online? I did it recently for my parents and it took about a week for them to come back.

You can either do the application fully online or get to the point where you print off the declaration, send the current passports and photos off.

Cheaper to do them online also and you pay for them straight away so no increased cost.

    https://passportapplication.service.gov.uk/ips-olc/

You are able to group applications together for 1 payment. They have to be posted separately and my parents used special delivery as they needed them back fairly quickly.
