Hello NG
On the topic of afternoon tea a favourite subject of mine:rotfl:
The Sanderson do a Mad Hatter's Tea; the Chesterfield and One Aldwych have a Charlie and the Chocolate factory ones; the Berkeley does a fashion inspired one (pret a portea) and the Lanesborough has an afternoon tea based on the Hamilton Musical. There is also double decker bus that does an afternoon tea sightseeing tour of London.
I have a weakness for a very traditional afternoon tea and managed to consume gallons of tea and a mountain of scones at Fortnum and Mason's last summer. I had to walk half way home to recover.:o:DMortgageStart Nov 2012 £310,000

Dh decided he couldn't sleep so went to work at 4 am, after I managed to get back to sleep for half an hour, the cat decided to howl like a lunatic for no reason.
Finally the food challenge is over, £385.32 spent instead of the £200 target from Boxing Day to Feb so I'm although way over budget it's still a lot less than it could have been
Could have another target for February I guess, perhaps £500 food and petrol. The tank is totally empty though so that will be a big chunk gone.
Good news is that the car passed it's mot:T £30 spent which is lucky as the car pot and dwindled to £50 after I paid for insurance in November.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Yay for the car passing-£30 is great!!
Wonder if your cats howling was linked to last nights super moon (or just a cantankerous kitty?)
First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!0 -
Perhaps it was the moon, full on screeching like in a cat fight, I ran downstairs and she was just sitting on the sofa as if nothing happened. She is a bit bonkers though

Well I now what what happened with the cat, ds2 got up and went downstairs for a glass of water and she apparently kicked off as he wouldn’t feed her at 4am :rotfl: it’s quite something for a cat to be heard two floors up loud enough to wake people!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

Naughty cat! You'll appreciate this NG: DH and I babysat for my sister last night (niece was asleep the whole time - phew!) and when she got back (about 9) we said we needed to go and give the cats the rest of their dinner as we'd only given them half before we left as it was early for them. She said, 'won't they have gone to bed?' - I know she thinks I compare my niece to the cats too much, but I wasn't aware she thought I tucked them in each night! Apparently clueless that they're quite nocturnal
