I want to go to centre parcs again too. I'm sure I read somewhere that it's cheaper to book super early or very late.0

I know, I know,
Its too expensive, a weekend is the sensible option.
I would have to book something else as well though as a weekend is not long enough as the only holiday in the year.
If only i liked camping, holdays would be so much cheaper
I shall look at bluestones in wales though thanks I am hart, have you been there already?MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Centre Parks sounds great but expensive, maybe you can get a good deal from somewhere though?
Log cabin work is sounding fantastic!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Bluestones looks very nice, but i'm still hankering after CP
lunch with the MIL was ok, I tried to pay but she insisted, so a cheap day. I did get the usual why won't you come over anymore etc. I said we are really busy doing the log cabin, but I invited them over this weekend, but she just said no. I don't think they are doing anything, but it was no anyway, it would have been nice to have an offer of help. Oh well.
I need to get a but more focused on my mf stuff , I think as the kids are off, and I'm more busy I have let it slide a bit. I feel like I'm more into trying to spend it not op at the moment.
Tomorrow I shall try and squeeze in some mfw diaries to give me a boost, it shames me into making more of an effort when I see what everyone else is doing.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Book CP ! You only live once. Everyone needs a break and something to look forward to.
... Saying that you have a log cabin, a hot tub and a bar so ditch the CP holiday and camp out in your back garden instead! :money::money::D
Where's these piccies?:) I'm dying to see them.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Iris , I will take some and get my dd to upload them, I really am useless at anything to do with computers except, going on here, shopping online and rightmove.
Still not sure about CP, michelle suggested saving for the deposit and going for a weekend, its £369 instead of £1408 for a week in aug, but it would be after school on the fri and back one night early on the sunday ready for school. DD is starting gcse's and school is v. strict about no hols, and I have 3 to take out.
I'm making excuses I want to go for a week :rotfl:
I have looked at every holiday lodge type place in england and wales in the last couple of days, and they are all what I consider expensive. Maybe I'm just used to not spending a lot on one holiday, we often do caravans on newspaper offers or cottage shares with my parents.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

I'd rather go for a week too.
And no, i agree the other places would not be quite the same.
I think i will save up for a full 7 days break when i am MF. So that might be round about 5/6 years time then. :rotfl:
Either that or a lot of hours on dy.0
