Hi iris , DD and ds1 did the whole tour, ds2 did all but the last bit and they loved it, but said they would not want to go back as its too scary!
Er this may be a silly question but why can't you wear fake tan in a hot tub, do you mean the wash off type? As I always have that build up type tan on in the summer, and I'm in there as much as possible.

We've always been told not to use that and sun creams. I suppose because it makes the water grimy very quickly and leaves a scum mark around it so you then have to clean it sooner , costing money.

I always use St tropez which wears off doesn't it but that left a tide mark too.

http://www.poolandspa.com/page85.htm this says about using oil based products and them clogging your filter up.

Hi iris, our water does go cloudy while the kids are in with their high factor sun cream on , but I leave it on a clean cycle and its crystal clear within 30 mins. Although when we had our old inflatable hot tub that needed cleaning out all the time which was a bit gross. This one I dose up with chlorine so its always fine.
I have to say I think they are tacky and expensive , but I love my hot tub, when I get in I just can't stop grinning :D
Hope you have a great time in cornwall.

Oh right I didn't know they had the clean cycles on them. I don't think the one we've used those. I'll have a nosey when I go. Thanks for that.

Yes they are bliss aren't they. one of the happiest days of my life was sitting in one with the sun blazing down and sipping a glass of cold wine.Absolute luxury.

I bet you can't wait to have it all finished :)

Hi iris, unless its an inflatable one, it cleans as its heating , and it should come on at regular intervals when its not in use to do this. Ours is set on the minimum cycle usually it comes on twice a day for two hours.

I am feeling very fed up with the weight I've put on lately, I went and had a look on the sw site as Michelle has said she will be starting it. The trouble is I am very lazy, and will have to do seperate dinners for the kids and dh. So I'm thinking of starting the milkshake one again as I have half a tin of powder left still. I am good at dieting but only if I'm not hungry.:D
I'm sure that putting on weight is making more miserable and less energetic, I need to lose 2 stones to be the size I want, which is about (10st).

I would save a bit of money if I stopped eating and drinking so much as well.;)

:j I have just made an op of £504.17 This is for april and may (in advance so I don't spend it). Surplus from the log cabin / bathroom, £490. mays halifax reward acct. £10, council tax cheaper the 1st month £4, and tcb payout 0,17p.

I have now paid off over £10k since last may, plus paid for the log cabin and most of the bathroom stuff needed.
I have to pay a minimum of £1628 each month starting in june to hit my MFW 10 yr challenge, which should end in may 2020.
My dream would be to finish while my twins are still 18, so a total of 7 years and 2 months from now, ready for when they might need stacks of cash for uni fees, if they want to go.
Otherwise a nice new big house and new mortgage, or a sports car, or a little holiday home in devon, or lots of nice holidays. Ah, it keeps me happy thinking about being mortgage free :D hope everyone is having a good day.

What lovely ideas for the future, i sometimes wonder if when we're MF or at least have a tiny mortgage will we move to a bigger dream home. I only 28 so it is a possibility.

I think wine is what most people miss when cutting back/dieting, be good if you can follow a plan where you can save points/sins for wine etc without feeling too deprived.

Great OP, it's great to see the mortgage balance come down isn't it :)
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!

Well done on your OP WOW, thats a lot to pay off each month!

I keep dreaming of what I will do when I am MF. I think holidays and new car to save for first as a reward for all the hard work. My kids will be 16/17 as well so will be more independant and I will get my life back personally as well as monetary :) Only about 9 years to go (not that I am counting or anything!!)

Hi pammy, its a side effect of being a mfw, wishing time would pass quicker, which is not a good thing is it. I can't wait until I'm mortgage free and the kids are grown up, then I will probably spend my time wishing they were little again :D

As for the huge monthly payments, I had a one sided chat with dh the other night ;), and worked out that the figures don't actually balance and we have more going out than coming in, but no debts being accrued. I've no idea how really. I've also finally realised how little interest dh has taken in this. I asked him to guess how much we paid off the mortagage since may last year and his answer was £0.
He has obviously been tuned out listening to me go on about it all the time, thank goodness for you lot who take an interest.:D

    Just kidding :)
