Currently too lazy to actually write a new bucket list but I have decided to make a new rule for 2018 and that's a minimum of one date night with dh a month. We do go out for local meals sometimes anyway but I'm trying to be a bit more imaginative, on a budget still of course.

January will be a cinema night with our passes as it's an ultra frugal month to pay for the laptop. For February I've booked us something a bit different, we are going to see the exorcist at the Phoenix theatre :T 2 x tickets for £10 each no fees and even free postage as part their new year offers, should have been £35 each plus fees. Did a seat check and they are good views and not too high, need to add a meal deal somewhere nearby at a chain restaurant and I'm sorted for Feb

That's a bargain for the theatre NG! Not my sort of thing, but I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

Have you noticed that a lot of the things you haven't done on the bucket list are the cheaper ones? Sounds perfect for this year!

You are right there vix, I'll have to do them won't I :D

Back to work this week, less time to sit around and read diaries here :(

WW weigh in last night and after putting on 5lb over Xmas at last weeks weigh in , I've lost 2.5lb this week - which was a hard slog, but I'm feeling quite motivated still.

Topcashback has come through for me and paid out £58 today  I love you tcb :smileyhea

Off to the cinema with ds2 today, watching the new film about john Paul Getty, dh has been to his house apparently, for the average guy he has done some unusual stuff :rotfl:

Nice list. :) There are loads of really MSE things left on it too. Runner beans on my list too! I was 25 before I had shop bought runner beans and am now far too much of a snob to eat them.

Food spends since 27th Dec - 1st Feb are now at £71.59 out of £200 and it's only the 6th :o

Had an email from the accountant and we are paying the tax dh owes through his tax code, so there will be lower monthly ops and a higher one at the end of this month, the end date is still (for the moment!) may 2019 hopefully.

Lower than usual food spends don't seem to be going badly, I'm cooking everything from scratch, it's time consuming as we all eat different things. Tonight I'm doing roasted veg frittata and salad for me, roasted veg and Stilton pastry tart and salad for dh, pizzas for the boys with frozen bases I need to use up.

Splashed out on my try not spend month yesterday though and paid £13.99 to buy IT from sky store on download and DVD through the post, I love that film and had to have it :D

Are you hoping to be able to eat for £200 for the whole month for all five of you? Don't know how you cook different dishes. Very time consuming.

Can't say I understand watching a film more than once, though.

Hi Alex, yes I am trying to - we have stuff in the freezer and cupboards too mind, I'm not just feeding us gruel :rotfl:

Watching a favourite film multiple times is no different to playing a favourite album for me, if it's good why not enjoy it more than once ;)

NG, I'd not thought about watching a film multiple times in that way but it does make more sense now. :)

I will even go to the cinema more than once if I enjoy a film enough! (I saw Titanic 7 times at our local Odeon. Which admittedly was more to do with Leonardo Di Caprio and being a teenager more than the film itself)

Have you seen the Greatest Showman yet Newgirly? Well worth a watch if you haven't.
