I think posting definitely keeps us accountable.

Rough goals would be no spending on wine (will have returned from an all inclusive holiday so not needed!)
Stop small daily spends which are mostly on ice-creams and term time and full time work will help.
Small food budget as don't need the whole months budget
Clear small balance on 0% cc
    Start planning frugally for Christmas?

Sounds like a plan cath :)

Weigh in tonight, first one since ditching the points and using mfp, and drumroll..........5lb off  not sure how or why! But I feel better eating more normal food again, it could be a fluke so I will have to see what happens next week :D

Dhs birthday today, he will be pleased with his prince exhibition tickets :D

Ive arranged a surprise drink with the guys from work tonight, they didn't want a meal just drinks , so I've told dh we will go out with the kids for a cheap dinner at wetherspoons (actually the only pub the kids can get in on a Friday in town ) the guys will turn up when they can, then when the kids have to leave (8pm I think?) we will move on to a lively pub nearby

Good night out yesterday, everyone had too much to drink (except me who was keeping an eye on them all :D) went to a well known Essex town not that far away in distance, but what a culture shock
Very "lively" :rotfl: police , bouncers and security guards everywhere! The evening ended up with them all getting a kebab and a bus home, one of the guys stayed on our sofa last night. I think dh enjoyed it and was happy everyone came. £55 spent on dinner in the wetherspoons before we met the guys from work, £30 cash on drinks -not including however much dh spent of his own money though which was probably a lot :rotfl:

I've just applied for a new cc , my current one is constantly not creating a statement when it says it will, I ring the bank and tell them , they assure me that the next few days spending will go on the next months statement then it doesn't, it makes it hard to budget.

I've gone for the "intu" one recommended on mse, £60 shopping vouchers for my local shopping centre, in £20 increments depending on spending levels over a year which I will reach, plus 0.5% cash-back in voucher form.

It's mucked up this month, plus I've overspent by £200 last month it seems, I'll have to under spend on the new card by £200 this month and it won't arrive for 7-10 days so I've got £70 cash to last until it does, oh and no petrol.

Looks like that's the next challenge then :)

:rotfl: no it was the five of us and the kids like to go for the steak :D

I should add the kids went home afterwards and we went on to the bar, we aren't the worlds worst parents dragging them on a pub crawl!

Oops not posted since the weekend!

Xmas shopping is still high on the list of priorities. I've signed up for the intu cc to get £60 worth of vouchers and have also signed up for an Amazon cc - £30 Amazon gift card already received as I ordered £50 of gift cards for Xmas :money:

I've located £20.50 of clubcard points so will order something online with those, perhaps perfume or aftershave. It not much but it all helps :D

As I don't know when the payments will be due on the new cards I will not use either this month (except a small test amount on each), and will continue using the nationwide old card. I don't want to mess up my system :)

Tomorrow night is my brother's birthday meal (and parents anniversary) there's will be 5 or 6 of us that I will need to pay for  plus drinks first , it's all in the city and won't be cheap :( we were rather cruelly debating to not go or just me and dh going initially to save money, but I found my mum chatting to the kids about it the other day!

Anyway, it's a done deal now, my family never seem to do anything on a budget :rotfl:

Tomorrow is an exciting day as finally we can go and see "it" at the cinema, I'll take my brother as he has the day off for his birthday and whichever of the kids want to come.
