    Thanks princess Lou :)

After four and a half hours my hair is done (for the moment :o) its now pretty much my natural colour light brown with very fine blonde highlights , not very blond at all yet as it has had enough colour lifting for one day, she said I can have more highlights in four weeks time. It actually looks really good condition which is a relief! Plus I've had my first Essex "bouncy blow dry" :rotfl:

Good news today, little brother has exchanged on thr maisonette he is buying finally, it completes next week when my parents are away, so dh and I may well be moving him in as he doesn't have a car, i can't wait to see it.

    Only you, NG. :rotfl:

Surely poodle hair requires that white, convertible XR3i to be bought ... ;)

Terrible news again today, London Bridge this time where both Dd and my brother go quite often :( best friend's step Dd was not at the party last night as she was out with the ambulances training to be a paramedic, very scary times, but what can you do? Glad none of the kids were in London last night.

It will be a lazy day today, I need to go through the accounts and also make a decision on getting an extension, the council have emailed back to say I will have to book an appointment to discuss building over the drain, I want to get it done , but don't want to extend the mortgage so really can't decide what to do, dh (as usual!) is not that fussed either way really which doesn't help! The one thing I am always good at is changing my mind and procrastinating :o

Thansk mfd's I'm ok just a bit snowed under :D

Busy week, work, kids etc. Same as usual! WW weigh in tonight and as I expected 1lb on :( could be the curry and wine last week perhaps..... back on track now though.

Tomorrow will be busy again, I'm helping little brother strip his wallpaper as he completed today :T also ds2 has decided tomorrow is the day to bring his new girlfriend home - the house is a state and I won't be here most of the day, was hoping to stay up for the results but think an early night may be better :D

    what a stressful weekend

Little brother completed on his maisonette, parents went on holiday, he is insured on mums mini but she won't let him drive it ( no idea why, she just says he's not used to it!) so I've spent the last two days driving him back and forth collecting plumbing parts and decorating stuff, solid traffic eveywhere here when the sun comes out.

We have the builders arriving tomorrow so have had to clear the airing cupboard/ds2s wardrobes and ds1's bedroom, then move him into the conservatory.

Ds2 decided last night that he didn't want to go to download festival today and he has got sunburnt at a car show yesterday, so after much negotiating dh is taking the ticket , so now I'm not going away! I'm fairly panicky about dh driving as I'm a control freak and always do the long distance journeys as dh is always tired :( it's about two and a half hours and ds1 has been told to make sure he is ok. Dh thinks I'm being ridiculous which is possible , but I can't help worrying.

So now I have a free day, Dd has arranged for her and her boyfriend to have a hot tub day with his dd, she's 10 and loves going in it :) Ive bought them pizzas and an inflatable crocodile for their little party , which I may now gatecrash :D

:T Re. the house completion. :)

The Mini situation sounds a bit silly. Why have someone insured as a named driver if you're not going to let the person drive it?

What are the builders doing? (I may have missed something).

Hope your husband got back safely. Isn't the Download festival at Donington Park? I imagine it will take them much longer than 2 1/2 hours from yours.

Always enjoy reading your diary; it's probably the only one on here talking about inflatable crocodiles. :rotfl: :D

Morning Alex, I've had a word with mum and apparently my she doesnt mind him driving it as long has someone takes him out for a trial run first as it's automatic -he's 34 :rotfl:

Dh made it almost bang on 2 and a half hours to download, Not his usual taste in music , he said it was a bit "hardcore" :D

The builders are swapping our main bathroom with ds1's tiny box room , we will also steal a metre or so from ds2s room to make the new bedroom bigger. The box room will soon be a walk in shower room, they arrive today and I have not chosen any fittings yet  as we will no longer have an airing cupboard I should probably have a vanity unit /cupboard in there, but I want a huge Art Deco style sink etc. Which would look better but be way less practical, I've wasted hours looking......

You may have enjoyed our old Facebook page for our pet inflatable flamingo -Florence :)
