Thanks guys, Michelle I will try that flour idea if that does'nt work I'm buying some fairy cakes!
I have just had my two letters for the boys' secondary school place, they both got into the school round the corner that DD goes to which we were quite sure they should get a place for as we are so close. Its still a relief though, there must be a lot of dissapointed parents though as they had 193 places on offer and there are apparently well over 1000 kids trying to get in. Lots of Dd's friends could not get in 3 years ago, not sure how many of the boys mates got in yet. I am glad we have stayed in this little house now and not moved out of the area to a bigger one , or the kids would not be going to such a great school.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

This weekend has been busy so far, out for dinner with the outlaws last night, not too bad, although DSIL did not leave until nearly 1am so i'm a bit tired today.
Dh has taken the trampoline down and taken to the tip, it was not safe to sell or freecycle. The shed goes tomorrow, the garden looks so much bigger (for a while at least).
I have just cooked a lasagne for tomorrow as my parents are coming for dinner, plus i am attempting a giant choc chip muffin in the new mould for tomorrow as well. I have so much on this weekend, and for some unknown reason I said I would take the boys and two friends to play football tomorrrow morning at the park, DH still will be clearing the garden , plus my family for dinner, plus all the school stuff to get ready. My own fault!
We have splashed out today, yesterday i bid on a black leather sofa for the log cabin, it was new condition and had only been used for a photo shoot, we got it for £92, it turned out it was in the road next to ours so DH picked it up today, its nice but has a couple of very tiny scratches which they should probably mentioned but I'm very happy as it does look brand new, kids have had a great time as the back folds down like a small sofa bed so its entertained them for a whilealthough its gettin g abit of a squash in the living room with that as well.
No money saving today except cooking a cake for dessert tomorrow, am hoping to chill out at some point as this week has been manic.
Oh, also did a few hours work for DH for the first time, harder than I thought, but very happy to be earning :jMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
