Well done on the work from home, thats a dream of mine, or even half at home/office to save on childcare.

As for the small garden, we do too and the kids trampoline is overbearing and taking up half my lawn! then the guinea pigs ourdoor pen takes up some as well grrr

I'd leave the target, still gives you something to aim for, doesnt matter if not reached as you know you used the money for something else.

I know Pammy, i'm very lucky, Dh was supposed to show me the ropes but he has been ill in bed all day, still there now, so it will have to wait.

I'm just debating where to sleep tonight and which is worse, sharing with him sweating with a high temperature in bed or sleeping on a cold sofa in the very chilly at night through lounge (with more chance of spiders:rotfl:).

I know i'm a bit mean but its quite nice here at the moment,
just me and the cats watching dancing on ice, kids and DH quiet upstairs, its not often like that here.

I have to get dmil a birthday present for thurs, dh is paying but i have no idea what to get, i have snuck a look and she has given me a mystery present and a box of chocs thats already been opened - none missing though so thats a bonus i suppose :D I think I may have to get myself a pressie from Dh as well as he was going out this weekend but was too ill.
My accounts need going through and I know its not going to be good, i have probably spent the majority of march's budget already, school shoes plus a couple of mc d's plus a huge mr t shop on half term treats so will need to reign things in a lot to make up for it the rest of the month.

We've been doing smoothies as treats, (well the kids see it as a treat, I see it as them eating more fruit lol) and they are really lovely.
I have no idea what to get my mum for mothers day and her birthday is April 1st so same weekend

Sooo tired today, been up since 4.30 am and went to bed late. :(

I have not done anything moneysaving except make a loaf yesterday, its a friends birthday soon who i am seeing today, and have not got a present yet, I think I'll have to give her a bottle of perfume from my amazon bulk buy for next xmas.
The house needs a good clean and tidy, but to be honest I don't think I've got the energy today, plus i'm out from 10am onwards.
Dh was ill all weekend so has told me to get myself some birthday presents, as I was up so early I spent a couple of hours researching digital cameras, and have ordered one from tesco with the display screen on the front as well of the back in dark pink :D He did say go up to £100 and it was £99 plus £10 for the card and bag, plus I should get 3% cashback and it was nearly double on other sites so I suppose it was slightly mse.

I have bought myself some pjs and slippers form primarni for the kids to wrap up as well, with the wrapping paper he asked me to buy, but I said I draw the line at buying my own card :rotfl:

I need to ring the building society and find out the os bal on the mortgage so I can add it to my signature again, another incentive to look at on a regular basis.

Only just caught up, morning sickness has kept me away! Sorry about the loft and mortgage decision but onwards and upwards. How great you can work one day a week too and it will fit in with family life, that's great!

Sorry you have been feeling so rough cath, how far along are you now? Hopefully it will ease after the first trimester for you, I lost a stone and a half at the start of my pregnancy with my twins, that was probably a good thing though as I would have put on a total of 5 st instead of the 3 1/2 I did.:D

I'm currently trying my third attempt at cooking a giant muffin cake, if it sticks or does'nt work this time I'm throwing the b****y thing in the bin!
I have been good and used the BM the last few days, but I'm supposed to be on the milkshake diet, and I'm not sure you are supposed to have big chunks of HM bread with it.:o

only 8 weeks today according to midwife (she changed my dates) but i think i'm nearer 9. Sickness has really subsided last few days, am making the most of it before i start feeling sick 24/7 again - has felt like all day travel sickness.

I doubt that HM bread is dry Newgirly! Put the butter down! I have just made myself hungry now.

I have had some nice presents today, slippers, perfume and a top so far, my mum and gran are coming over when the kids are home from school, I still need to make a cake though as half of my giant muffin cake stuck to the pan again.

Still need to get an update of what the exact mortgage figure is today, but am definatly going to leave the mortgage as interest only as we can overpay by 10% of the balance per year starting this month, which we will not be able to do even on IO. So may as well save the £50 fee for changing it back again. The monthly DD for interest is fixed for the year at £434.81, so as this drops down by a few pennies a month I will be paying a tiny bit extra op there as well.:D

I am going to start oping fully in may when there is a full 11 years left to run on the mortgage, but I would like to make payments as if it was a 9 year mortgage which means paying £1200.00 off the balance each month.

    Happy Birthday.

Little tip for you to try and help the cake not stick. Grease the tin, but then dust a little flour onto the oil before putting your mix in. I had this written on a train cake tin i bought from lakeland. Course the wanted you to buy their special spray to do it, but i found brushing a little melted butter with a pastry brush worked fine. Hope i have told you this before you started again.
