Glad you enjoyed Alton Towers. It's nearly 20 years since I last went, and I think my theme park days are now behind me, but I think Alton Towers is about the best in this country

I love it there even if I do only go on the teacups and the rumba Rapids! Are you not tempted to go back GG I know a lovely farm to stay at? :)

Temptation to book a break resisted, mainly by going through the accounts

Everything is covered, we have savings towards the annual insurances and car stuff, but that's it. Cruise and hotel for sept paid, hotel in November paid and next years mini cruise deposit paid £98 - £508 left to pay, which I will be squeezing from the monthly spending budget.

Its squeaky budget time now for the next two years :D

    This months spending so far:

    £700 budget:

    £61.82 petrol

£117.57 aldi (mainly food and drink for Alton towers)

£76.34 tesco, including birthday cake and some wine for last night

    £34 cruise parking for September

    £41 off next years cruise

    £20 primark undies for me

    £349.27 left

    Back later with monthly update.

More spending yesterday £66 tesco and £56.73 on trainers for ds1, it's not as bad as it sounds as he has been looking for months and they were all over £100 (he has had the last pair for over 3 years!) so they were £105 reduced and then 20% off with free delivery :T it a relief to have finally got some, will do ds2 next month, but he gets cheaper ones more often :D

All men in the house are at the huge boot sale, the boys are into their retro games consoles still so will be looking out for those, I am trying to persuade them to start buying and selling on eBay as there is a bit of money to be made, they both said they wouldn't want to part with anything though! Will continue to nag about this though as its perfect for them.

Dds birthday tomorrow, I have a "frozen" tesco cake for her, but she is off for 2 nights to Stratford upon Avon with her boyfriend (her birthday present from us) tomorrow morning so we might have cake today instead. I got tickets for a midsummer nights dream too which will be a surprise.

Weighed myself today for the first time in ages, have not done what I said I would and have had a couple of weeks of eating the wrong stuff and drinking more. So I've put on a few pounds. Idiot. Will attempt to make a better effort this week, we do have a fridge full of fruit and veg and no crisps so that might help :o

I've done something very stupid! Went to pay my £50 monthly payment for the Nov 2017 cruise and forgot to change the amount on the screen so have accidentally paid the full amount of £508 :eek: cc now £249 over monthly budget and no money left for the month :eek:

The £249 will come from the lump sum going to the mortgage from dad and I will reduce my personal spends by £10 pm for the next two years :wall: I have a bit of cash put by for spending money in sept (£150 ish) but will now need that to survive the month food/petrol wise. What a fool :o

Now need to find a way to replace spending money and pay for parking.

Tired and fed up, 5am is too early to get up for work! Ds1 is going to an away football match tonight and won't be home until 11.30 ish and I am at a friends for dinner, I am ready for my bed now :o

£9.40 cash spent in Asda on the way home- plant for friend who is cooking tonight and yet more super noodles, the new staple diet of my teenagers all of a sudden, I have no idea why as we have lots of proper food. Apparently it's a common teen thing as the apprentice at work microwaves them for lunch at times, yuk.

I think we may have to buy a bigger house, the twins have tidied their rooms and the resulting washing pile requires another room all of its own  when I summon up the energy I shall get them to actually wash some of it, I have been far too soft on them and it's time they were properly trained.

Not much to report, need to buy a new hairdryer as it seems we left our only one at the farm last week :( don really think it's worth bothering the lady to post it back as it was only a cheap one. Up early today so my hair dries before I go out :D

Weight loss going badly, for some reason I am struggling with it still. I think it's lack of will power, tiredness and laziness to prepare what I should be eating. I had a few shakes this week but starting work very early meant I'd had breakfast by 7am and lunch by 11.30 and was hungry again me afternoon and over ate. :o

I've reading Paul mc kennas book again today - eat only when hungry , eat what you want , enjoy food consciously and stop when you are full are his rules. I don't know, I just need things to click into place as I really want to lose weight!

Dd is back and loved her trip to Stratford upon Avon, did loads of stuff - rowing boats , Shakespeare's house/ theatre to see a play, and my personal favourite the oldest pub in town built in the 1400's
