Hi , thanks you are very kind
We could clear the loan, but the company are paying us to pay that at the moment so I don't think we will.
We will still have some of the loan left and even a balance on the cc's if we manage to clear the mortgage in that term. Probably not the way it should be done, but the urge to be mf is bigger than my common sense :rotfl:
Next dilemma, after no alcohol all week we have been invited round mum and dads for champagne - is today a good enough reason to fall off the wagonMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Thats incredible newgirly, I'd have jumped off the wagon as well to celebrate. You will now achieve your original goal of being MF before the twins turn 18.

Wow Newgirly you're on fire!
Well done on using your Gran's money to pay down the mortgage, that shows a lot of character and strength.
Wonderful gift from your parents too, that is life changing. I love your plan to get the mortgage gone by the birthdays.

Thanks so much for the good wishes everyone, you are all so lovely
Still in shock today! Also a bit hungover, a glass of champagne ended up being lots of wine too and a Chinese takeaway for us and two of the kids courtesy of dad at their house (I did try and pay!)
Just can't believe it really, it feels like I should be out spending to celebrate :rotfl: but NO! It's 26 months until the possible new end date if we really try
Shs that's very kind of you, dds boyfriend get a work discount which works out at £36.50 for two days per adult so I think it would work out cheaper, thanks thoughMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
