Poor ds2, after a great 5-1 win at Blackburn, the coach back to London broke down and then the replacement coach broke down  going to be late waiting up, although obviously it's dh driving to get him from the drop off point as I have been boozing round the InlawsA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
Mortgage Balance = £0

Hi GG, well they may get a refund on the coach travel and it was over £30, so he is over the moon (and with the result obviously
)

Horribly hard Zumba class, although I am still at the some old ladies are fitter than me stage :rotfl:
Car been fixed and garage is ordering a new fog light bulb, at the moment I am really surprised by how helpful the car dealers have been, it's a 9year old car so I wasn't expecting much! Got to get buses/tube to work today, expensive and takes ages compared to driving.
Worked really hard yesterday, ate correctly , excercised put on 1 & 1/2 lbs - need to stop weighing myself all the timeMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Home early as ds2 was ill at school so I had to collect him, worse than that - it's a Tuesday - maths tutor day  he missed 2 lessons due to football and now one being ill, next week I will have to pay £160 :eek:
Iit was him that wanted the tutor to boost his grades, and he was willing to do any time at all any day as long as it didn't clash with football, Tuesday evening is a pretty safe bet, but they are doing well in the fa cup and have had 2x Tuesday games. I am embarrassed and hope she doesn't think we don't care, there are no other slots available to swap with ever so it's tricky!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Wow that must put football into perspective though. Effectively £160 for one maths lesson (£120 if you discount the one missed due to illness) due to ds not wanting to miss his team on tv (I am assuming this is watching rather than playing?)
I'll start actively discouraging football in our house, the opportunity cost is too high
Well at least they won I guess.

Hi choccylover, he has a season ticket so is going to the games and they never win anything, but are currently doing really well in the fa cup. He literally breathes football! It's £80 for the missed football matches which is crazy, but I promised and it was voluntary on his part, so I just have to suck it up
Defiantly discourage any football related activities if you can thoughMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
You've let your son miss GCSE tuition (which he has identified himself as needing) so close to taking his exams for him to watch a football match? NG, sorry to be the one to say this but that is utterly crazy. Money should be the last consideration here.2018 totals:

Ds1 still ill, ds2 now with chest pain when he breathes in, but it doesn't seem to be asthma
not bad enough to panic as he was happily playing the Xbox this evening , but will take him to Drs in the morning of he still has it. He was hospitalised overnight when he was one with an asthma attack, plus I lost my sister with a breathing problem, so I tend to panic at the slightest thing
Have told dh if one or both are off sick tomorrow I will take the day off work, I realise I am very lucky to be able to do the fairly easily (although will have to catch up quickly as I have piles of work) I think he thinks I am mad as they are 15, he doesn't seem to worry like I do!
Payday tomorrow :j projected mortgage op approx £0 this month due to accidental car purchase.
On the plus side, I have saved £50 in £2 coins since 1st Jan :T it won't pay for the car but it's a gesture towards being mse :money: amongst a year full of fails so far :rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Well I'm sure most people agree with you Alex, but I think it would have been counter productive to back out of what I agreed initially, it's not always the easy to get teens wanting to revise and do extra, he is already doing all extra revision classes during lunch and after school (and will be during the holidays too).MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
