Moral of the story, don't go to Harvester if you want a decent meal, seems OK if you want a free one, though.

At least you didn't end up paying out too much for a disastrous meal. We haven't been to the cinema for years but I really fancy watching spectre. Have to work out if hubby and I can get an evening off!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Hi cath, the cinema often falls by the wayside when you have little ones, or you just get used to only seeing kids films :rotfl: hope you manage to go.
Pumpkin day, but first off to buy a hippo onesie for my Aunts 59th birthday (requested by her
) my family are unique , she has been known to walk home back to mums house late at night after a curry at our house in a frog onesie , you would never know she is a successful career woman :rotfl: MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Tired today, don't know what dh will be like as he has been at work since 6.30am and is not due back for a while yet, since we have downsized the work force a little, we have one staff member on holiday and one with an injured arm unable to work properly, dh is having to pick up the slack.
Pumpkins done except for ds2 who has gone out tonight, I attempted one of bluefire's stencil ones , but made a pigs ear of it :rotfl: best pumpkin has to be the one with evil eyes a huge grin with teeth made out of loads broken cocktail sticks for teeth, very effective.
Ds 2 told me tonight about an app you can get that you listen to when you go to sleep and it plays a certain stream of sounds to make you dream a certain dream its really given me the creeps, he is not planning on using it but how bizarre. It's crazy to think when I was a little girl a tape machine that could record seemed like magic, how times change.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Ds2 has done a brilliant Alex from a clockwork orange themed pumpkin this year
I have spent the day washing drying in the tumble dryer and radiators all day  usually too tight for this but i wanted it all done and ironed so we are not surrounded by airers tomorrow.
We are out for drinks tonight round some friends' house. Except dh has just rung whilst still in traffic to say we are due at 7pm and he doesn't know if we are invited for drinks or dinner! So we won't eat just incase plus its too late anyway! And I am veggie which I don't know if they remember.
Table all set for halloween, red cloths with back skull lace on top, cobwebs , spiders back candleabra and red wine glasses with green napkins and black and green crackers, plus little halloween favour bags , I know I am sad butI love it

Thought you were talking about me until you said 'A Clockwork Orange' ... :rotfl:
We must be sad too as we've also Halloween'd the house.
Vile bathroom actually looks appropriate for once, though hoping it doesn't scare son if he ventures in there during the night. 2018 totals:

Glad you decided to still do halloween Alex, I know you were not feeling great earlier this week.
No dinner at friends last night jus loads of wine on an empty stomach
however I did have a shocking conversation with them, they like cruises and were chatting about where they would like to go, when she says " we won't be spending lots until the house is paid for , we should have finished in 2030 but it will now be 4 and a half years from now as we have made overpayments"  !!!
I have found someone in real life who does this :. I said we are being careful.and have six and a half years left which the hubby seemed very surprised at, ( think he was surprised due to some of our past silly purchases -hot tubs etc.!) we must look spendier than we are.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
