Well I've learnt something new today :D

Two of the kids want a party, dd and ds2 but ds 1 doesn't . I like the idea of a meal with family (like a haunted banquet ;)) and a going out treat with the kids like an outdoor cinema showing of a horror film in london its less cost/stress. I would like to make a bit of fuss this year but a party seems a LOT of fuss, thinking back to the last big halloween do, it was weeks of preparing and a lot of money, and I was a sahm. Not sure I can cope now I am 40 :rotfl:

Dh is at work, he went in all weekend and 5am to 8pm yesterday, its like the old days again. We were mega busy yesterday, but its a student deadline this week so after that it will be no work again.

As I am up early , I'm going to do some washing and cleaning :D

_party_ Nice one Alex :D kids, adults or both? £1Land is great for decorations and general spooky supplies.

Well we are having a spooky indian takeaway with family (the bossy whatsists won't want anything else as they are creatures of habit.) dressing up and a big gothic looking table setting :beer. The kids are not fussed about the outdoor cinema , luckily as it turns out as I only found one suitable in hyde park, undercover and £25 a ticket, no thanks!

Eric update - £511 now,not convinced he will hit reserve, I guess I still pay all the fees if he doesn't sell?

The Halloween party will be for kids and adults. We've only got family coming (cousin, her husband and two children, brother-in-law, his wife and two children, my parents may be coming too (hope not as Brother-in-Law has already asked if the 'witch of Bakewell' can be burnt...)) so not a big party and it'll be done by about 8.30pm but should be fun. Apparently, we're holding it at my place because it's the 'most likely to be haunted'. :rotfl:

What defines an Indian as being spooky, then? :D

Sounds good Alex, a spooky curry is a bit like a normal curry but with my family dressed up, plenty of pumpkins and half the poundshop's halloween decorations :rotfl:

Dd was so excited last night , she found out that the Harry potter studio tour is doing a xmas sit down meal in the great hall. I thought you know maybe we could go together as a xmas treat, probably dear , £60 maybe £70 each , but a once in a lifetime thing. Er, £285 each :( Its not fair as we really want to go "stamps feet". I might try and do a harry potter day at home instead, harry potter sweets, butterbeer, wear our HP pj's (we have a collection :D) and have a movie marathon. Not quite the same though!

October tomorrow I'm sure the kids just broke up from summer a few days ago  still I can use my cc from the 1st , already in my amazon basket waiting is a new pink bed for the dog and a matching collar, £12 for both. Other items to be bought this month are:

Warm clothes for.the boys, maybe a new sweatshirt each.

Bottle of champagne - best friends 10yr anniversary and we are going out for a meal sat. I wanted to have a bottle on the table when we arrive.

Meal as above , but worried as it was v. Dear last time for my 40th and dh let them pay half, eric may be subsidising this :o

Drinks , nibbles and £1land decorations for halloween

    Pumpkins

Spooky curry sounds nice. :) Unfortunately, our table only seats 6, so we won't be able to have a dinner. Mrs K and I will probably spend ages preparing a buffet.

Harry Potter dinner sounds far too expensive.

Gallygirly: That's not very nice. ;)

Eric is on £621 now, nobody has messaged me to come and view so even if he did sell I think how serious could they be?

We had a lovely meal last night with my best friend and her dh, an epensive meal though (£100's) and they wanted to pay for all of it. It was for their 10th anniversary, I feel very guilty as when we went for my 40th we split the bill.

I am the one in the coffee shop/ pub insisting on paying, whereas dh will just offer, he is not insistent enough! Anyway £20 spend on cab home and a guilty consience :o

Eric is not even half way to reserve and we only have 13 hours left, I guess I will just stick him up in a classified ad instead and wait.

Roast dinner at my parents today, first one in a very long time, need to collect ds1 who spent from 5 am to midnight on a coach to see west ham play in sunderland yesterday with my brother, what a crazy pair :D

    Aims for this week are:

    Relist eric if needs be
Start the nightly prep for the next day, uniforms, ironing, packed lunches
    Daily cleaning routine
Prep dinner in mornings (less time in bed on mse :D)
Ditch the frozen low cal meals, eat more intersting home cooked stuff
No alcohol monday-thurs minimum ,didn't do well with the no alcohol this time
Borrow a puzzle and start it ( bucket list )
