Nice looking ocado delivery last night, lots of healthy stuff :D

Pay day on the 24th and I need to op the loan asap as there is a classic car show at the weekend just up the road from us, temptation could be too great if I see a cheap little mini :rotfl:

Feeling more positive at work as lots of the problems are being sorted out , also we are due to pay the balance of the factory unit we bought at auction on Friday, the main part of loan is still not through though, talk about last minute!

    Step away from the car!

Hope loan money is through soon. Am sure will be a huge weight lifted once business sale is sorted.

There are 3 years between my children too amd 2 weeks between their birthdays. I've known since day 1 they are having a joint 18th/21st!

Payday yesterday  to celebrate we did something unplanned and went to the local Indian restaurant together (without kids ;)) dh paid even though he is not that flush at the moment which was nice of him :D

Dd is at the Sherlock convention today, its cost an absolute fortune and she is paying for her friend too who is not very well off, everything is not included £25 each for a photo on set £20 each for a screening of one of the old episodes  its a once in a lifetime opportunity though apparently ! She has money saved for it though, as she is more sensible with money than her mother ever was :D

The purchase of the factory did not go through as it should on completion day yesterday, we have to pay interest for 10 days and the they keep the 10% deposit. It should all be OK for Monday though. Then its brown trousers time as we have to find over 80k in the next three years to pay it off and we are still currently making a loss :( at least its a bit less than 50% of what its worth , and we got it a a good price so we can't lose money.

    This weekends plan is:

Finish cleaning the house - nearly done
Iron all yeterdays washed clothes 12 loads
Op the big business loan - dh has to ring up and give notice every time or they won't reduce the interest charges
Go to car show tomorrow and find a lovely mini for under £100:rotfl:
Go and get birthday card and some flowers for friends birthday

Hope everyone has a great weekend :)

To quote C3PO 'Oh my!'

Best of luck finding the Mini, maybe they will have some orange-stickered ones? :rotfl:

Exciting times :T. Not paying rent will help surely?
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Hi ed, just you wait and see how much washing needs doing with a baby :p

Hi gg the rent saving is massive , however we could not get a mortgage so we have an £82k loan on io for three years at about 13% so that cancels out most of the savings short term. Sounds risky but in east London there is literally nowhere to rent that's suitable and we have no right to renew our contract when its up in 18months.

Ouch! :( Any possibility of - in 3 years time - transferring part of that to a business mortgage on repayment terms? (lots of variables to take account of, I appreciate)

maybe you could just get Corgi car versions of the mini and the mg? ;)

Hi greent, not sure about the mortgage as we have just jumped through many hoops and been turned down for both a normal commercial one from Barclay's (whom we have a great relationship with) and also turned down by one of those mortgage brokers who can get to be for literally anybody :o

We have to be in profit by 3x the mortgage payment for three years running which means from right now as the loan has to be repaid in three years, so very unlikely. It may well end up being a collection of loans again if we get stuck.

Car show today and its raining, then a roast dinner followed by lots of lounging about watching films with wine hopefully :D
