Hi greent hope you are all well :)

Thanks for the link cath, I'm currently using a mortgage op calculator to work out the cc payments - "this much I know" by Dave addey. I will have a try of yours though.

The food budget is down to £200 now to last until the 27th of may so not sure how well that will go with my new idea of shopping at waitrose :o I need to sort out my life and start cooking through what's in the freezer.

Perhaps you could use them together? The snowball one will tell you how many months are left amd I knocked an extra month off which was really motivating.

I haven't been out of the supermarket this weekend, sometimes it feels like all you do is spend doesn't it. I budget £60 a week, think I need to re-evaluate!

My inner child loves the idea of owning a factory - I don't suppose you've seen the episode of the Simpsons where Bart ends up buying one for a few cents? :)

:rotfl: haha yes, love the Simpsons. Its just a little unit with three floors really, with one toilet and a mini kitchen , not some sprawling thing :D

Dh has gone to work for a few hours , I'm psyching myself up for some cleaning from my bed :D yesterday me and dh went for a Sunday drive (well I have just turned 40 !) We used to go for house buying drives previously, checking out right move properties, those days are gone now though. We happened upon a lovely country pub in stappleford abbots and had a drink in the garden £3.50 spent , and the food looked fantastic, so we may have to go back one day.
Lots of nice houses for sale there but they were all over a million when I checked on right move later out of nosiness.

Last night we watched the Enfield haunting with two of the kids, did anyone see it ? Fantastic spooky stuff :D

    Off to do some cleaning.

I spent last night on the op calculator. I've decided to continue as we are clearing the CCS and loan then the mortgage , but with a change, we currently have around £640 pm all in for five of us plus pets for literally everything except bills, debts and pocket money for dh and the kids.

By upping the monthly amount to £800 (pm on the cc) plus £50 cash it will mean a balance of £16,500 left when the term ends in april2022 , out of a total start point today of just over £180,000.

I feel this is a worthwhile thing to do quality of life wise , and its still a manageable balance to deal with via a loan or even better a change of circumstance fingers crossed, in the future. If all we are left owing is that I will be pretty happy :)

Went to Mr t last night on the way home from work and have cured myself of the silly idea of shopping at waitrose. I can buy way more cheap stuff so I don't know what I was thinking , I celebrated by buying a box of those new mini pink and black magnums - 6 for £2

I may still get the odd basket of burgers at waitrose but other than that it will be the usual again, aldi , Mr t etc.

Premium bonds certificate arrived and checked - no wins again.I am now up to £900 though, the most I've ever actually saved in my life :T if I don't offset it against the massive loan we we took out this year then it looks good!

Weight loss just not happening, I'm not able to stick to anything and I don't know why :( last night I bought some greens ,spinach and a few other bits to make "nutri bullet" type sludge drinks in my blender. Oh and I'm not alcohol free either :p

It was quite scary wasn't it, I thought I'd get the book written by one of the investigators in the 70's but it was £69 on Amazon, maybe not.

I'm shopping at lakeside today as my best friend asked me to go with her and the baby and I just can't say no to a coffee and a chat (or a wander through primarni!) We have the best one ever as its massive and on three floors :D

I shall vote when dh gets home tonight, dd is most aggrieved that she is not 18 until July and can't vote. Talking of which i need to sort out what she has been bought already birthday wise, plus I wanted to print off some photos and make a homemade card for her with plenty of glitter and a poem :D

Yes al I am, I think that college has helped too as they have had lots of interesting talks on politics for the kids - including one by Brian may from queen the other day which was a nice surprise as we love queen :D
Even the boys have been watching all the debates, although they have a few years left yet before that can vote.
