Maybe I should join your challenge as there are only 4 of us and i'm 'up North' where cost of living should be cheaper! I also have no pets!

The more I have typed the more I have thought I REALLY should try this!!
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!
  • Maybe I should try this as well! I'm also up north and there are only two of us, so should be able to cut right back. I'll do my sums!

It would be lovely to have some company along the way in the frugal end of year challenge :D it seems to have worked out at £11.71 for me per day which doesn't seem so bad.

It's been a rough few days, dd has had a sick bug since she got back from reading, I've been going to work at stupidly early times and them feeling rough all day and dh is stressed out and not in a good mood. Moaning over :o

We have has some great news though, dd got distinction star for her first college year, plus after months of waiting we found out yesterday that dd has been allowed to do an A level along side her level 3 btec :T they no longer allow it but have made an exception as she has done so well this first year, it took a long while to sort out as the deputy head refused and all her tutors have been trying to get him to change his mind, but we got there in the end :D

Since I'm awake at this ridiculous time on my day off I may as we'll go through the bank accounts and my purse and see what the damage is so far this week, plus I might order some cheap xmas paper as I found a free del code for studio.

:rotfl: sorry pink poppy! Gremlins not letting me post :D

Right fantastically cheap xmas order done from studi* 24 online

£11.50 for 85 m of wrap, 85 matching tags and all cards :T plus a black bathrobe personalised for dd (with sherlock, not her name) for £9.99
Massive party tableware set reduced to £4.99 for a Xmas eve party , plus lots of other bargains and free delivery.

I've checked the accounts and I miscounted by a day, from Monday just gone there were 129 days left this year which works out at £11.62 per day, £81.34 pw.

The next couple of months will pay for this budget and then hopefully I should have a big surplus nov/dec. I've decided to simplify the Xmas money and use the emergency fund £700 and use the premium bond savings as the new emergency fund, if we do have a problem we can put it on the cc for a few weeks while we cash them in.

Plans for the surplus which if I don't overspend at all would be £1800, would be to pay the balance of our centreparcs break, have a bit of spending money for butlins and pay the rest off the credit cards.

£47 spent in ald* this week from the budget, so £34 left until Monday.

Oops nearly forgot, £5 off a £40 shop voucher in ald* in the mirror today.
