We had a nice anniversary yesterday, lunch out in bluewater, then dh very kindly bought me a new iPad as the old one died again and I couldn't fix it. We did do a bit of research and got one for £299 plus a £20 grift voucher :money: it's a lot of money to spend but me and the kids use it so much.

Dd still at reading and I've had lots of texts and calls, the girl she is sharing a tent with got kicked during a gig and ended up in hospital with a head injury  she is fine now and back and the camp, I don't think I could have restrained myself from going and getting her if that was my dd, however much she said she was fine.

Nothing to report mortgage wise, but this a great feeling to finally be able to start paying more substantial amounts off pm rather than the 10p a day type payments I made last year :D

Does feel good to see that mortgage balance coming down doesn't it. Well done Newgirly, think I'd have wanted to go and get my dd too after a head injury as well. Glad she seems to be ok.

Thanks greent I am feeling a bit more positive lately, things have been so stressful with dh and his work it's nice to have something else to focus on ,me is like a hobby :D

I've overspent in the last few weeks and also have not been saving for Xmas / centreparcs next August or our butlins before Xmas. I could cut the ops down a bit , but I thought I'd have a go at putting a bit of effort in to find the difference without that.

So my new slightly scary plan is to live off £1500 from now until next year.

This means £375 per month for 5 of us, which will include :

    Food
    Pet stuff
    Clothes
    Treats
    Anything else

    It won't include:

    Petrol
    Xmas presents budgeted for
    Birthdays
    Pocket money
    Bills / mortgage
    Our mini cruise (dh paying)
    Or butlins break

This is approximately half the usual monthly budget of £750 , although that does include absolutely everything that not bills or mortgage.

There is plenty of store cupboard stuff to get through , so lots of slow cooker meals coming and Lots of home baking, I just need to get my butt in gear and get organised :D
