Feeling a bit rough today as I did drink in the end last night
it was a great evening though, but we didn't get in until 3am which I am really not used to nowadays. Plus by about 12 I switched from wine to tea
We are visiting the inlaws today, so it should be a Nsd which I really need right now as I spent nearly all of the remaining budget yesterday on a mrt shop and petrol, not sure but I think there is only about £30odd left until I can spend on the cc again on the 28th.
I need to get my thinking cap on for birthdays next month,I have no saving towards birthdays/Xmas this year it comes from the monthly budget and September is the worst with dh, mum, dad and little brother all a couple of weeks apart.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Op's made - a big £1.59 today
Loads of work to do for dh today , plus I need to get refunds on the clothes I bought last week. I did do a meal plan for the week last night, so tonight we are having a "Sunday" roast, a chicken that I will start off in the slow cooker so it makes some stock too for soup another day. We will all eat together (as long as dh is not super late:cool:) which doesn't happen that often.
I am going to start trying to follow the fly lady thread again this week, some days I do loads of housework , some days none so it might be an idea to get in more of a routine. I hate cleaning.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
It was a manic day yesterday , so today i am going to try and clear up the house. The loft guy is supposed to be coming over this evening to measure up for the steels which means they should be starting in a week , I flippin hope they do I am not getting sick of waiting.
Roast dinner last night so tonight's dinner is , leftover chicken , jacket potatoes, corn on the cob. Tomorrows is homemade quiche but I have no flan dish at the moment, so might take a trip to the local charity shop to get one as its one things people always seem to get rid of.:D
Op made today 10p , I wonder how long it will take to pay off a £146k mortgage at a rate of 10p a day, quite a while I think :rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Well, as Mr T says, every little helps! 10p is 10p and they all add up.
I feel I've found a kindred spirit, I also share your love of good pjs and wine! I like to have nice pjs that I could answer the door in without feeling embarrassed, lol. And I am cutting down my wine consumption, either not having it altogether, setting myself a limit or having an alternative of vodka lime and soda- cheapy own brand vodka with lots of soda and you cant taste the difference.
I like your idea of making an OP every day, might see if I can do that....0 -
Hi gilly bean, thanks for popping in
do you have a mf diary? I will have a nose about and see if I can find it.
Bits and bobs done today, meal plan followed, homemade popcorn made and eatenI also found a bag of 20ps to pay into the bank which I did in town £10 :T plus nipped in the charity shop next door and found a quiche dish for 50p. I will make a bacon one and a feta and broccoli one I think with the £1 pastry I bought the other day.
Finances are stupidly stretched unless I pinch a bit from the money thats going towards the bathroom next month - £5 a day until 28th August. I have a friend and her daughter for lunch tomorrow so will have to find something to eat, I don't think she will eat quiche as she avoids dairy.
Surprise surprise the loft guy did not come, he rang to apologise , he is coming thurs and has said a job over ran as there was a problem with the plans. We now have a date of 28/29th for the scaffolding and 2nd sept to start work. They were supposed to start in early June. :mad:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
More bad news for dh business wise, just when we think things can't get any worse they do, I am trying to stay calm though and praying that karma will come round and bite said problem person on the butt.
Phew, anyway that aside today has been good, a long catch up with a friend who came for lunch with her dd, a quick trip to the local country park. I bought the kids a mc d's as a treat , plus some bottles of fizzy, so I have overspent a bit, I need to check how much is left but its getting beyond squeaky.:oMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
