Every proper post I am writing is being referred to the forum team, not sure what I have done !

It was doing the same to me earlier. I didn't think about the smilies, it just seemed to be whenever I mentioned money! In the end I forgot what I was posting about so started rambling about something else. I did keep checking my posts thinking I had written something that needed censoring!

:rotfl: oh dear I think they are clamping down on us in the naughty corner!

Off to thorpe park today and currently not in the mood  I forgot to order the tickets with my pass (they are half price) but extremely luckily for me when I went to order online at usual prices they are reduced to just £20 for the next few days , phew! So I won't have to pay extra after all.

Just checked the cc and have spent £426 out of £600 so far this month, although £60 of that was tickets for today which I will get the cash for. Not as frugal a as I thought but it is the holidays and I have been topping up Oyster cards and buying more food.

  • It is hard to keep spending down in the holiday season. I am always torn between the 'you only live once' mentality, and my desire to save. Have to find a path down the middle... Enjoy the day out,

Thanks everyone, we had a good day at thorpe park although my aunts were not as brave as they had implied so only a couple of big rides and then the tea cups and carousel :rotfl:

So much to sort out at the moment, I'm not sure why everything has gone to pot lately :o I took back the beautiful shoes I bought last week and got a refund (without a receipt as I lost it!) and then spent most of the money making a retro sweetie hamper for our friend's 40th this weekend. It just seemed a bit extravagant at the moment to spend on shoes I will hardly wear.

Today I am going to :

Tidy up so its almost respectable
Do all washing and hang out ........done but basket re fills itself
    All ironing up to date..........done
Make a "curry in a hurry" batch - frozen bases made in a muffin tin to make quick curries...........done and its smells divine!
Try and pinch some eggs from mum if she has spares....... Done , thanks mum
    Apply for new driving licence
Ring dvla - tax disc ran out June, can't find new one  have been driving out of date for months :o........done , new one on way
Try and start a plan for the next few weeks as so much to sort out before I start work, possibly end September
Work out a daily regular routine for when I do start, meal plans , washing etc.
    sort out some charity bags
Make long overdue daily payments for the last week or so..........done
Check accts and update .............checked current acct.
    Strip and change all beds.........done
Make spinach and feta pie .........done, its tasty :D
Try and get dh to get a loan balance

Also made 4 jars of marmalade with a bag of yellow sticker oranges I bought at mr t last night.

    Phew :D
