Oops too much wine last night!

No plans for today, and a day in chessington tomorrow with best friend and her kids. I would like to take them all to the cinema today but at 13 they are too young for the films they want to see, and too old for the films they can see :D

The clearing out is carrying on slowly, I have got rid of about 10 bin bags now. Still no firm date for the loft to start work, at this rate it won't be done before Xmas.

Our day out in chessington went well yesterday, it was very hot and very busy though and there were wasps everywhere. But the new zufari mini tour was good.
Not much money spent, just a few drinks as we had all ours, plus the dartford tolls and petrol.

Nothing on today , just washing and trying to dry in the rain, account checking , and cleaning plus maybe attempting to de-clutter the boys room. The loft guy has said he is coming to measure again next week and starting the week after. Not sure if that will actually happen, as we keep getting put back, we shall see.

Hi greent, let ,me know how the vodka goes. I attempted some "toffee" vodka made by using nearly a whole litre of Smirnoff and a pack of worthers originals and it was a vile murky beige colour so I binned it. What a shocking waste :rotfl:

A friend of mine bought a vodka making kit on ebay and the results are amazing so it might be worth a go, I think I will.

Just back from holiday and already looking to book our next one but my head is being too sensible at the moment :(

Dh's brother just turned up at 8am unannounced on a visit from Lincolnshire, so I have been entertaining in my pjs, we were all in bed

Lots going on with dh's work, it will be all change soon and it looks like I will Definatly be working for him which is good but a bit weird, being married to the boss :D

Today we have nothing planned, but I am attempting to make some onion chutney in my mums jam maker if I can round up some jars. I am going to try and get dh to go to the cinema as he is mega stressed out at the moment, and needs to get out the house for a bit, he is either at work (usually) or home, a change of scenery can be good.

No mortgage stuff looked at lately and I have not made my daily ops for a while so I need to add up what I am due to pay and do it today.

Oops popped to ikea with dh and then went to the pub on the way back for lunch :o no kids with us so only £14 , not too bad and I was good and bought nothing in ikea. I did find a bed frame that will do if we can't afford a luxury one, £120 for a king size.

I have just made various dinners for everyone again, dh had sweet potato/pea/onion/chicken homemade pasties, the boys had pasta and pesto with cheese, dd has Spanish omlette made with tinned potatoes for the first time but has yet to eat it. Plus finally I made a big pan of curry but am not hungry yet.

Is the one I made during the week, so nice I thought I would do it again:

    2x medium size sweet potatoes
1 or2 onions (depends how much you like them :p)
    3x cloves garlic chopped
    1x carton value passata
10 little frozen blocks of spinach from a sainsbugs frozen bag , or fresh if you have
Chilli to taste ( I used 3x frozen little squares)
    1/2 teaspoon of turmeric/paprika/coriander/ginger each
    1 tsp ground cumin

Fry all but the potatoes /passata/spinach together, cube and boil potato, add passata and spinach to everything fried, add potato near end , simmer. nice served with toasted pitta and mango chutney.

Makes 2 portions for a big greedy guts or 3/4 for normal people. :D

Didn't bother to cost it, but can't cost more than about 30p each for 4 I think.
