Hi cath, Peonie and Pammy
Dd is quite good at planning her revising, the main problem has been with one particular subject -the exam board changed the brief slighhtly afew weeks ago just before it its due in, the whole year has been massively down graded and her predicted b is now an f  it is defiantly the exam board's fault not the schools , they have appealed and nothing can be done, so the whole year has been going in through the holidays to change their work to fit in with the brief more. It's time she should be spending on another subjects, I am trying to make sure she prioritises the most important subjects rather than just this one, but she is finding it hard to not do as much as possible for it.
I will see what she wants to do tomorrow, but she did buy a box set of old horror films last week, Dracula etc. so we could give that a go.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
newgirly, hope your DD is ok today & manages to de-stress. It sounds like she's pretty organised so hopefully that will help with exam pressure. Hope you have a lovely day together'A watched potato will never chit'...0

Hi pink poppy, we had a nice wander round the shops for a couple of hours while the boys were in the cinema, and I bought dd a bag and a couple of tops , not too expensive though!
Dd is much happier today thank goodness, although as typically these things go, ds2 has decided to be a little  today. Bickering with his brother and refusing to do his homework, so Xbox and phone have gone, and now he is doing it , why are they such a pain sometimes?!
Today I have started a sort of diet again, roughly calorie counting as after weighing myself I am a stone heavier than I was last sept for dh's 40th, ( which was a stone overweight already:o) so I'm going to try 1200 cals a day plus wine when I want it :rotfl:I can't cut out chocolate and wine that's just crazyMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
All is calm today, no bickering so far! Dh is at work again all weekend, so I am going to stay in and get the boys to finish all their homework, this involves papermache though as well so could get messy.
I have a ton of ironing to do and about 6 loads of washing, still have not been using the line to dry, is it warm enough yet? It doesn't seem it. I have a rotary and lots of washing everyday so it needs to be quite windy or warm.
Day one of the diet went well, that sounds silly but I often don't even get to the end of day one:rotfl: tonight will be butter beans in garlic tomato sauce and some sort of spinach dish when I find one online to make. I got lots of fresh bits at mr t yesterday, it was not as bad as I was expecting there, they do a value passata for 29p same as ald* and I use loads of that a week. Milk is dearer, all frozen stuff was a lot dearer but I could go there for quite a lot of stuff and just go to Iceland for frozen veg ,quorn and kids bits.
I've had a call from the bets to let me know my dog food is there, they have kindly ordered me wet and dry food, £27 for a try of pouches and £34 for 5 kg of dry  I said no to the wet food but was to embarrassed to cancel the dry, what a wimp ! I might take my time collecting it though
Off to prise the troops out of their bedsMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
It supposed to be nice and warm today, I did offer to take the kids to thorpe park but dd still has too much work to do. Not sure what to do now, I have plenty to get on with at home but that will mean the kids will laze around. I suppose another lazy day won't matter, they are all back at school tomorrow.
I might pop to the garden centre and buy some herbs, I have bought seeds but would like plants I can use a bit quicker. We have nowhere to grow anything outside except in tubs and although i Would love to grow veg ,I think cost wise it would be more useful to have a really good choice of herbs to cook with as I seem to buying them more often since cooking virtually everything form scratch.
Op made yesterday 10p, today £1 as I am fed up with paying 10p a dayMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
When our cat had all of his kidney problems we were told to put him on a prescription diet. The big brands like Royal Canin and Hills do it. I didn't find it that expensive using the dry food with plenty of fresh water. The food is lower protein I bet you can find something online. Even amazon sells the food.
I used to order from vetuk.co.uk as they sometimes had offers on the food and it as a bit cheaper.0 -
Hope you are well
thanks for that, I will have a look on that website. My dog does eat quite a lot and I just worry that a 5 kg bag won't last that long, I suppose she should just eat less of it.
I had a great day yesterday, went to the big orange DIY store and got 9 trays of plants all 3-4-2 and £3 each, I have now got lots of in every pot I own plus some of my parents I borrowed , so hopefully it will look a bit prettier this year. I bought some hebs for the kitchen too, I really needed coriander but nowhere seems to sell it, would the supermarket grown stuff be any good to grow long term?
Back to school today  downside is I have a huge job for dh to do that will take at least all day and probably some of the evening, I shall have to have lots of mse breaksMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
The kids are off again today for teacher training day, dd is still revising hard. I've spent the day cleaning downstairs and looking at garden stuff online I can't afford
Yesterdays 10p op made, nothing today yet as I have not checked the accts to see if I could pay more, probably not much more though! Its time i updated my signature and mfw figures. another of the HUGE loan payments has come out, i should really know what the interest per day is on both.
Hmm, I shall do that now , back laterMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Just had a look and I have paid £474.65 off the 25k in 2 months since getting it, the interest is currently (6.4%) £4.38 per day, the mortage is £13.16 per day (3.29%)
Hopefully if we scrape through all we have to pay for this year ad clear the cc as well we can start to op the loan next January.
It was probably good timing taking a look at this today, as at the moment I have a serious urge to go and buy something expensive or book a weekend away that we can't afford. Why is it after the few years I have been doing this I still can get rid of that need to spend whether I have the money or not from time to timeMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Hi newgirly
I'm sorry to hear your dog is poorly, give him a pet from me.
I've bought potted basil from the supermarket and split the plants to put in the garden/pots before and they've always done really well so I think if you bought coriander and planted it on it would do well. They shove a lot of little plants in those pots!
Lots of luck to your DD on her exams.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck
