We got back from cp's early this morning , it was good but a lot of hassle just before xmas for what was basically one day there, and now I've lots of washing and house cleaning to do before tomorrow. To be honest I think it would be better for younger kids there especially at xmas, and it was very busy.

Its been such hectic week I've not really caught up with any diaries, except gallygirl who has been partying away

Hopefully if I get the washing unpacked and sorted I can pop back in later. :xmassign:

:santa2: Hope everyone had a fantastic xmas!

Ours went well at mums, today I have 12 (possibly14) here for lunch which I should be preparing, instead of watching yesterdays tv and going on mse :D

Can't wait for new year to start now and some new mf challenges to start. I used to hate the time after xmas , a depressing time of year with no money. Now I am looking forward to getting back to more simple living and hopefully getting fitter this year (although I say that every year :rotfl:)

Anyway, I'm off to peel some veg

  • Morning NewGirly, I get the same feeling as when I was little and going back to school on September. New school bag, new pens. 1sy January does the same to me those days. Mr T has told me I can't sort the freezer out until tomorrow. :rotfl:

Have a good day, Tilly x

New calendar/diary/pages for my mse binder is my back to school :rotfl:

Yesterday went ok, but I am shattered and feel asleep sitting up last night, then woke for the 3rd morning running at 5.30 am :(
Have a stinking cold today, and I'm currently debating if I should go to the shopping centre with the kids - they have xmas money and are desperate to spend some of it but I really can't face it! Dh could take them , I'm just a little worried they will spend the lot on unsuitable video games and junk ;)

I need to sort out a january food budget as I want to spend as little as possible to get the year off to a good start, I would love to shave off £100 or so maybe, so £150 ish maybe.

End of year round - up:

    Target £10,000

Cleared the 0% cc £3268 completely

    Paid £2,589 off the mortgage.

    Total paid £5857.00

Not such a good year due to massive overspending on a car and a bit of kitchen updating (plus a few other treats!) Fairly mse/frugal grocery spending though, so it could have been worse.:D

So far for next year I have these plans:
    • Target of £10,733 (1/3 of my mfi3t3 target,£10.200 savings and £533 op's.)
    • make one homemade xmas gift per month
    • Earn £2013 in lots of different ways :D
    • re-do garden -its all decking at the moment and try and grow something and keep it alive
    • Clear everything in loft and only keep essentials neatly boxed up
    • maybe give up alcohol
    • set a new monthly challenge - something different each time so I don't get bored
    • eat better/lose weight
    • do spending on my stoozing cc
    • start a sealed pot for change - no notes allowed so I don't burgle it before the end of the year!
    Thats it so far :D
