Well done on your progress and you have some great challenges lined up. My plans this year are to continue seeking a new life and I'm going to work my way through the 9 steps to financial independence. I lost my post about it the other day but will repost when I get time.
I've been having a monthly focus plan instead of new years resolutions for a while now and find it much better. As you said it stops you getting bored and by focusing on omething for a month it hopefully becomes a habit that lasts longer!

Another one here with plans for the garden - if it ever stops raining!!!!!!

Not much needed fortunately, just some bags of stones, membrane, holding bit of wood & 2 chairs and a table. IF it ever stops raining.......
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Have you got a list of the homemade Christmas gifts you're planning? Then I can steal it :D
I made some this year and they seemed to be appreciated. Lots of good comments about my cards too.

Hi jellie, i've no list and very limited abilities :rotfl:

I did make a sock monkey for my Great Aunt this year as a (rather large) table present, as every year they buy for the kids but we don't buy for each other, so really it was more I didn't want to buy something as they would feel obliged to start next year with adlult gifts, iyswim. Anyway I was so glad I made the effort as it was also the anniversary of her mums death on xmas day and she was quite down and had not even opened her presents in the morning :( She absolutely loved it, so I thought why not do more stuff next year.

    £370/£300 April challenge :T:T
  • Hi Newgirly, on the subject of homemade gifts I thought I would share something I did this year for my two sons which went down really well. I went onto the 'wordle' website and you enter a list of words, the first being the persons name, and then you enter as many words as you want that you associate with them, so in my boys case, their nickname, fave food, colour, interests etc. you can play around with the layout, fonts and colours, so I made their name in the largest font, and it arranges them into a trendy 'word picture' I printed them out, put them into a sleek black certificate frame which was a couple of pounds and hey presto! My 12 yr old actually said he started to fill up when he saw it as it was so personal. A nice idea that you could do for anyone x
