    Sept - Dec :

    Sept :
    £ 25 c/c
    £41 isa

    OCT: £58 hotel alton towers
    £1000 overdraft
    £25 c/c

    Nov:
    £899 c/c
    £184 isa

    Dec:
    £1083 isa

    Totals paid hopefully:

    £1000 overdraft
    £974 0% CC
    £1308 Isa
    £ 58 alton towers

    Total:£3,340

I have seriously overspent this month on dh's 40th, plus I have £1083 in the isa which went in in error, hence the £1000 overdraft as I did'nt want to draw it out again.

The xmas budget is very short on what I need and we are taking 4 kids to alton towers scarefest for one night, so will also need to allow for petrol and food. Its getting tighter![/QUOTE]

Some other minor changes are the end of spending on the cc for groceries and living expenses, tried it again for a couple of months this summer and failed spectacularly (sp?) again. So cash only and online purchases stuck in a jar to go back in at the end of the month.

Checked the gas and elec usage :

By my calculations £3.49 per day for both

last bill 13/3/12 was £6.77 per day for both.

I realise its summer and we owe a little bit, but have decided to reduce the dd from £148 to £128 , but will have to remember to check the meter weekly if possible so there are no nasty shocks.

Will stick to £5 a day for sept still but will go for £10 a day from oct onwards, was paying the car tax/ins/mot/home ins. into a seperate acct monthly but have decided to stop and add the extra £69 to my monthly budget. Dh gets paid weekly and every now and then gets an extra weeks pay which is supposed to be an op for the mortgage, this has not happened this year so I will allocate all these items to be paid from it so I cant waste it all again.

    New budget £10 a day for food/petrol
£60 a month for everything else.

Just wrote a long post which was deleted. It was probably for the best as it was a very long rant about dh's late bosses wife who is doing her best to make our lives as tricky as possibe at the moment.

Time will sort things out with the business and I do believe in karma, so will try to stay as calm as possible.

Anyway. its been a very stressful weekend, kitchen work started, dh giving up smoking :T as well as :eek:for the rest of us with his mood swings:rotfl:

Not much money spent on food, but dd has 7 mates round for tea on thurs (including new boyfriend I have yet to meet :D) so need to go over budget probably there, fizzy drinks sweets etc. a teenagers usual food of choice!

No extra earning done lately, need to amke more of an effort, the only thing going well is the food budget at the moment.

Hi nto, no we have some boys too so he won't be out numbered!

I am starting to feel very xmassy at the moment, and have been reading some blogs with xmas plans with a mse theme. I might start making some plans as we don't usually do either day at our house, maybe a few festive days out on the cheap, and a much more organised freezer full of treats.:D

There could end up being extra things to pay out for soon:
    • DD's school trip next week, balance £100 to pay, I forgot :o
    • new kitchen woktop shorter on one side of kitchen and can fit in extra freezer there ( a chest one at that!) c*rrys have one £300 reduced to £119 so I neeeed to buy it :p
    • new pack of expensive special blouses for dd for school
    • mums birthday
    • possibly getting a plasterer to sort out the kitchen ceiling - its cracked where the bath leaked,dh might have a go but he is no plasterer :rotfl:
So not sure what to do with that lot to pay for , dh might help with dd's trip, I need to earn enough to pay for the freezer if I want it before it goes up in price, the rest will have to be swueezed from the budget next month, and the only way will be to stick to a silly budget for food again.

Well I never got to meet the boyfriend yesterday, as they broke up! His loss :p

I had to buy them all chips for tea as the oven has broken, its my parents old one and the top tiny oven still works , but thats always been more like a hairdryer than a cooker. Dh is supposed to be fitting the new worktop along that side of the kitchen at the weekend and I'm not sure whether to get a built in hob and cooker now.

We have always wanted one, but there is a chance my dad may pop round and get the old one going again. I suppose we should get the new one really, seen as we are changing the tops the same week, it must be fate!:D Only problem is I have no money to pay for it at the moment so may have to use the cc

Other news is I may be helping out dh with work from home a lot more, doing stuff I have no clue how to do and not getting paid! sounds perfect does'nt it :rotfl:

Not sure how I have been doing money wise, will go through it all this morning and pop back later, sorry I've not been catching up with many diaries lately, just don't know where the time goes, there seem a lot of new diaries too.

Looks like dad can repair the oven now, so I suppose I should keep it and not have the lovely shiny built in one.:(

The food budget is down to £20 for the rest if this month, so probably won't last but has still been a lot less than usual so not too bad.

After the O/d is paid next month, I will start paying the mortgage off properly again. The mortage is still IO and the official end date is april 2022, which means the payment needs to be £1,505.06 pm (on current interest rate which I'm sure will go up!)

This amount is just over 60% of our whole household income after tax. Put down on paper it does seem a bit of a tricky one for us to stick to unless we stop spending on everything other than essentials. Worth a try I suppose.

Wow the mfw section has got sooo busy lately!

The weekend was busy, cold and wet. I got my lovely new chest freezer, it is very very small but I love it, just need to get batch cooking to make it start paying for itself.:D

We got to a bootsale before the rain yesterday, I got a small pink milk jug for 50p, 2x crochet blankets @£2 ,and a massive piece of fabric covered with reindeer and trees so need to have an attempt at sewing

The heating is off and its so cold here, dd has been moaning already and its just the start :snow_laug However it would help her case by not complaining of the cold whilst wearing shorts and a vest top.:rotfl:

Have gone over the £5 a day budget, not sure how much by yet, and seem to have a lack of warm clothes for everyone this year which means money spending. Have sent dh into loft land but apparently its all summer stuff up there, hmmm.

Hello newgirly! We need some winter-y clothes for DD and DS1, too. DD has 3 long sleeved tshirts and no jumpers/ cardigans and DS1 has 3 long sleeved tshirts (but has some hoodies he can wear if he was v chilly)

Heating went on on Sunday here - was raining heavily all day and came home to find DD wearing jeans, thick socks, slippers, l/s top and a fur lined hoody!! Have had it on in the mornings since, but not last night as it was mild until about 10pm. Still rainy her, too :( so have resorted to td to get some washing dry and a few things on radiators in mornings. I have to wash every day with 6 of us or I get so behind on it!! :(
