Poor him! Good job there is plenty for you to read on the forum. Hope you don't mind but I've mentioned the detergent recipe on the 'small things' thread. Hope he gets home soon0

Internet connection went down whilst I clicked on "post", very annoying!
Anyway, dh's van was fixed at the roadside by the AA, but he did not get home until 2am, then went back to work at 5am, we have both been suffering from lack of sleep and bad mood since
Friday I could'nt face shopping so did my shop at the farm shop £14 for lots of veggies / fruit and potatoes, and spent the same again at the butchers which is round the corner and I never use ( bad I know, but as a veggie I have never liked going in them!)
£14.50 for 1kg of good beef mince - much better than the shops
8 cumberland sausages, a big pack of smokey bacon, 6 large saveloys ( the kids horrid habit with chip shop chips!) and 6 eggs as we are getting though them quicker than my mums chickens can keep up. Probably not cheaper than the supermarket, but no driving petrol and temptation. I got a few essentials at the corner shop as well, all done in less than 30 mins, perfect for somone as lazy as me.:D
Today it is tipping it down again, I have sheets outside that have been there for 3 days as its too wet to go and retreive them, I will probably attempt that today and wash them all againI'm going to wear my new wellies my mum bought for my birthday last month and take the dog out this morning, being stuck indoors had been geting me down a bit, and due to the virus i've had I just have no energy still. Hopefully things will improve this week and maybe the sun will come out.
I have a horrible feeling I have made NO overpayments this month  I have put £470 in the new isa, but need to go through the accounts and find some to op even if its a fiver! back later with a monthly round up.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
This weather definately doesnt help your mood.Glad Oh's van was able to be fixed on the roadside.
Dont know Scotland very well but i think its on the outskirts of Glasgow, about 8 hours driving. Not going to be easy, flying means hire of car as well, driving is so expensive with petrol and both ways you have to find accomodation as well. Not sure how we will fit this into our already tight budget.I dont think the girls have been told they are moving,I reackon she is just going to spring it on them.Really feel for my boy he told her that this is going to break his heart.
But he refuses to let me say anything to her and i have so much too say:mad:

Oh how heartbreaking
I don't blame you for feeling like having a go at her, but its not the best idea. My mums friend has just had to deal with the same problem, except the move was to Australia. You need to grit your teeth, as whatever you say to her will not make a difference, and you don't want to give her any reason to make things difficult. Its not fair though is it.
Glasgow is cheap to get to by plane, we have done it and hired a car before, it may work out cheaper than driving if you time it right and go for a tiny car, and its such a long drive to do. Best wishes hun xMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Thanks
I know your right, hopefully it will all full into place.Im even more determined to get debts paid off now so we can afford to fly up to Scotland. Its about £106 from Heathrow, will have to speak to DB as he works for Hilton to see what the friends and family rates are.
So please keep clicking for me.
had to tell Great grandparents today, not a pleasant job.

That seems dear, is that per person? Try premier inn as well, thats where we stayed near alton towers at easter and I was very pleased with it, prices start at £19 per room, usually more like £29/£39 though.
We have not had a very mse day today, I took dh to the garden centre to look at the fish tanks as he was thinking about one for his 40th in sept, and he saw one he liked so bought it, It is a 120L white square shaped one which came with a free cabinet, but it still cost £255 eek! he has paid for some and I put £155 on my cc which is paid off monthly, not sure how I will manage that one though as have not made any money this month, so much for living on £10 a day.:o
Monthly round up still not done as i have been reading lots of frugal blogs instead, its more fun to read about what others do to save money than do it myself!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

That made me lol,:rotfl:
ive checked flight checker as well and you can get a bit cheaper but from the other London airports.Heathrow would take about 20 /25 mins to get too so wouldnt have to incorporate lots of petrol and parking. We will see when it comes to it.
My DD is off on an A level study thing today,is something thats a certain % of there grade but still costs us over £200 for 2 nights:eek:
well sun is shining here at the moment so thats a definate improvement on yesterday.:)MAKE £2022 in 2022 no 29 £2022/£434.10

Another 2 days seem to have flown by, I have been busy cleaning and have sorted out my bedroom, de-cluttering an embarrasing amount of rubbish/recycling/boot sale stuff. Nearly finshed but I have do work a few hours today, so have not had time yet.
I've still not been to the supermarket just the corner shop for essentials and poundland, when I got some jubilee bunting- as good an excuse for a family bbq as any
Two out of my three kids ate the butchers sausages I bought for tea last night which was good as the all said they don't like them beforehand, so a small success. I don't have any snacks in at the moment so I might make some cakes if I get the chance later. Plus still using washing gloop and lemon essential oil with no difference to cleanliness.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
