it wasn't that interesting first time round was it!:rotfl:
Not sure what happened there, I tend to visit NTO's blog via her user name , must have exited through there and posted twice.:o
I'm having lots of 11 yr old school dramas at the moment with ds1, with a phone call to dh at work from his friends dad today. I think they have outgrown each other but are in the new school and classes together all the time. There is always something to just put a dampner on life being stress free, it seems to be a daily thing at the moment.
Worse than that though, I was planning a lovely greek salad tonight for myself, I have had "on toast "tea for the last few days and dh is at the cinema with my little brother, so he popped to the corner shop and bought me some feta, I prepared a nice salad , undid the cheese and it was offI am too tired/lazy to take it back so have binned it and had a plain salad.
Tonight I am going to record the apprentice and scrub the kitchen as its on today's flylady list, I did our bedroom yesterday and it has really cheered me up to see at least one room clutter free and sparkling.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

I have now deleted the same long post twice!
Not much to report, I have still avioded the big supermarkets and shopped locally this week, but have spent money on new clothes for the twins at bhs 30% off day which was unplanned for.
Centerparcs trip is now probably off as they said I can change the date/location/guests for a £35 fee, we have already paid £159 deposit and can get a weekend near dh's birthday for £229 closer to home for just us two, or even as low as £159 in jan, I feel a bit guilty but the kids are genuinely not bothered either way(spoilt brats) so it seems a big expense to pay the balance of £400 odd plus activities/spends.
DD has 2x weekends away with the school this year, so we have decided to book one night near chessington while she is away for the next bank holiday with just the boys, we have asked and she does'nt mind but I do feel strange about going away with one missing!
I do think that the annual passes have been an expensive but good buy for us as we like to go away as much as possible and we used to do caravan breaks , but you end up spending more doing activities / arcades etc. whereas apart from a cheap hotel you only have to pay for food and petrol.
We are collecting dh's birthday fish tank today, so he will want to go and look at plants etc. to put in it, I have suggested the 99p store does plastic plants but I have a horrible feeling he will insist on the £16.99 each type we saw in the fish place the other day  fingers crossed i can reign in the spendingMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Not doing so well with the spending this weekend
We had lunch with the inlaws and went home via the tent place where dh bought a large tent  Its this years model but they are moving stuff around so selling a few off cheap, it was £775 rrp they were selling it for £599 but we got it for £350, still a LOT but a good make with four bedrooms and in a nice bright blue colour. We have left a deposit as its cash, dh is paying with money he has been saving towards doing something for his birthday.
Now I need to raid the loft to see exactly what camping stuff we have still, I think the only things we will need are new airbeds or campbeds and a couple of sleeping bags, anyway we will now be camping with the twins while dd is away next bank holiday not booking a hotel, bye bye nice warm bed
The fish tank is set up anf heating, we are going to go look at some fish this morning, but can't buy until the water has settled. Followed by a roast at my parents.
I think I am avoiding checking the accounts as I'm worried what I've spent , I really need to have a look eek!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
We've bought a tent this year - which involved then buying all the fridge/ cooker etc to go with it - and a trailer to put it all in (although we have a 7 seater car there are 6 of us, so not enough room for the camping gear) and now we need a towbar.... so much for cheap camping holidays!!!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200

Oh dear, you are not making me feel any better :rotfl:
We have spent so much money this year, I am cutting back on everyday luxuries and spending more on treats I think. Its time to go through the accounts and see where we areMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Hi NG
Hope the camping works out well and the new tent!.. Btw we bought a double sleeping bag from C&leman which we use in our van, used when camping in the French mountains in winter so I can vouch for its warmth! It's nice to be able to snuggle up too..recommend it!;):p
Will be trying the laundry gloop soon. Have all the ingredients bar the soap..does it have to be those green washing bars that my gran used to use or will any do? My OH is slightly surprised but he's getting used to me trying to be MSE;)

Hi brizzled, I used sainsbugs own brand 4 pack white soap ( not value) as it smelt the nicest. My dh thinks I am going mad I think making gloop, I have not told anyone else as I am way to embarrassed!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
