I am freezing, we went to a bootsale first thing this morning, a bad idea as I still have a virus. :o On the plus side though I got a lovely (new) vintage flower bed throw and pillow cases for £15, much cheaper than one like it at dunhelm mill I wanted at £80. I'm going to give our bedroom makeover when I have the energy.

The kids school stuff needs sorting for tomorrow, as usual I'm not quite done on the last day of the holidays, when they are back at school I am going to try and take it easy for this week, I just can't shake off whatever I have its been going on weeks.

So I thought it would be a good time to make some plans as we are already nearly a third way through the year, it would be nice to make this year the one where I finish the year organised/tidy/house decorated/weight lost/fitness better, I seem to have lost momentum, so might set a few targets.:D

Another day of feeling rough and for some reason a very sore wrist now bandaged up, no idea why except I am falling apart :o

DH has been good and fed kids/ put a wash on and ironed school shirts ( first time in 16 years!)

Anyway, not even thought about financial targets yet , will do that tomorrow when I have a quiet house. But have decided to try and do a weekly to do list and have joined the flylady thread as well tonight.

    Week beginning 16/4/12:
    • book dentist/optitian for kids
    • stick to flylady jobs for a week
    • meal plan for a week
    • keep up to date with washing
    • fill at least 2 boxes for bootsale
    • clear one chest of drawers out
I figure that if everything is more organised at home I will not waste as much time looking for stuff/getting stressed out with it all and hopefully have more time to earn more money and start making things, dh bought me a a sewing machine last year which has never been used and I would LOVE to make cushions/clothes etc.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend

No chance of me exercising pink poppy, I can barely get up the stairs at the moment :D My mum and best friend think its glandular fever and I should go to the doctor, I said I will if its no better at the end of the week.

You would think it would be mse staying in ill, but no, I can still type so have been spending. Six dresses for DD from the everything £5 website and 2x froggy microwave hot teddy things from grabbit £20 reduced to £5.60 from debenhams to put away for xmas.

Flyladying not started yet as I have run out of painkillers and am waiting for my mum to drop some off to me, so will do a bit after taking them, have managed all but one loads of washing though, and I don't often get that far when I'm well!

I went to the dr's yesterday as I had such bad joint pain but she said its probably a virus give it a week before getting blood tests done, DH not impressed but I am not keen on needles so quite relieved, I'm now determined to get well within a week :D

Did a bit of flyladying yesterday, but trying to take it easy. Today I am going through the accounts, I think the list I hoped to get through on sunday will have to wait though.

It would be nice to have a financial plan done for the rest of the year, how much to save/pay off cc/ op etc. I also have not updated figures for the mfw challenge/ £2012 in 2012 challenge.

Back later with a fabulous plan!

I do hope it does go away on its own and you feel better soon.A few years ago now i felt awful coughing all the time.Couldnt lay down to sleep.I took my youngest to the Drs and sat coughing in the corner and he said he wanted to check me out. I had whooping cough and i had it for a total of 8 months ,really draining.
So moral of this story is you may not like needles but insist on blood tests if no better as you could be unwell for a lot longer than necessary.
Thanks for visiting my blog i really appreciate it and thanks for clicking the ads.You are helping my quest to be debt free:)

Thanks nto, I am feeling better today so hopefully there will be no need for needles :D I have been trying to remember to click when I visit but I am naturally very forgetful!

Not much done today, the kids had a teacher training day and for the first time ever the twins (12 in july) went out with friends and to the park, they went back to a new friends house round the corner, six of them were there for about 6 hours and it was'nt until later when they were home that I found out that the parents were both at work all day and the 11 year olds were looking after themselves.

Everybody is different and I am sure they are nice people but it just seems too young to me, dh thinks I am much more over protective than other mums, but I really felt uncomfortable, they popped back at lunchtime for money and had a mobile between them, but even so, is dh right , am I OTT ? :o

Not much cleaning going on today but I will have to sort the whole house out tomorrow as all the family are coming for a takeaway. Its been a strange week of basically sitting on my backside resting, and although many would go crazy I have quite enjoyed it, but will be glad to get back to the land of the living.:D

Glad you're starting to feel better, hopefully that's you on the mend now.

I was pretty much the same as you with my DDs ~ I didn't think I was over-protective but some of their friends were off out on their own a long time before I let my DDs :o I think it's the first few times that are the worst, it does get easier although I'll always worry about them of course, but I'm a Mother so I'm allowed!! :rotfl:
