We had a very nice hm indian last night (with wine , oops!) but there was quite a lot and we ate it all, not good for the diet.:o
I went to primarni yesterday and got some new bedclothes/storage bits/cushions for dd's bedroom. Just a pot of paint and fabric wardrobe to buy so it looks like it will cost under £100, getting her to clear out her room is going to take some time though. I need to put a bit more effort in my house as soom rooms have n ot been decorated for a while.
The extra income earning is going well so far, but the surveys are very thin on the ground at the moment, I am doing onepoll, VO, and new vista on tcb, if anyone has any other suggestions i would be grateful. I am splitting it 50/50 with the op's and holiday fund, I think we may get away with £1000 for the holidays booked- spending money for devon for 1 week and £360 to pay still for a centerparcs weekend plus spending money, we can take our own food for both breaks so will only need money to eat out a couple of times.
I hope everyone has a good weekendMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
I have been buying paint for dd's bedroom today at the big orange diy store today and we accidently ended up looking at kitchens.:o
Due to the bathroom leaking some of it needs replacing but they still sell the one we have (we bought it about 9years ago).
We are trying to weigh up whether to replace the damaged ones and add a few extra to fill some gaps or do that and add new doors and worktops, or have a whole new kitchen.
I really don't want to spend a lot as I want to hit my target of 10k op's this year. But i also don't want spend a bit re-vamping it and then still have to re-do in a couple of years.
I think the best thing to do is to price up all options and then decide. I have been looking on ebay for old units/butler sinks but dh is less than keen on that idea.
Anyway, still good with the food budget , but did spend £6 on a mc d's for the kids today as a treat for two of them as one is at an away game football match, and the others have been stuck indoors.
Will take the dog out for a walk soon and see if i can persuade ds2 to come.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Have you tried ipsos? I joined them through TCB I think and they are a good survey co.Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.0

Do you have a company called Howdens near to you, they sell kitchens for trade only( sure i remember you dad is a tradesman)
you can get ready made carcases alot cheaper with them and doors. I have a huge kitchen and when mine was done it only cost about £3000 for wall and floor units and worktops.:DMAKE £2022 in 2022 no 29 £2022/£434.10

The B@Q kitchens are nice, but a couple of friends have ones from Howdens and they are both really lovely. I guess now is a good time to buy (not that I'm encouraging you to spend money of course
:D)

another vote here for ipsos, frequent surveys, they always pay out and rewards are easy to cash in. If you complete surveys regularly they give you bonus points too.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

i've always been a quidco girl and have never really spent much time looking into TCB. Do you mean you joined the site via TCB, or do new vista pay out via TCB?sorry for being dense
p*inec*ne (first *=i, 2nd =o) are good, but they only recruit at specific times of the year. There are often threads on the forums when they open up recruitment.
I also do mutual points. They send you a few emails a week, generally speaking you get 5 points for clicking through on advertising emails. Over the weekend there are surveys for 75 points. 3000 points =£20 via cheque. Payments only processed once a month which slows things down a tad, but they've been reliable for me. It's a slow burner but little effort involved
another slow burner (but very reliable) is yougov, cheque payout at £50. 2-3 surveys a month, 50-75p a time. Can send you a referral link if you want.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

Oh dear I can't multi quote
Thanks pavlov's and katsu I will try ipsos, and also p!necone. The new vista surveys I do are on the tcb site and track and payout through tcb too, reliable payouts but you do get screened out a lot.
Thanks also to NTO, but I do already have a swagbucks toolbar, which Michelle referred me to a while ago.
I have been on the Howden's website which I really should'nt have , the kitchens are absolutely beautiful. I have been working out prices for new cheap doors for the carcass's we already have (from bq) so I am sure howdens would work out a lot dearer, but they are stunning.
Bad news today, dh has had a meeting with his accountant and we have to pay £1100 tax bill which is for share dividends from last year, I thought it had been paid and was from the previous tax year, but it isn'tNo dividends and a pay cut this year is not ideal, and I guess that answers the question of whether I should have a lovely handmade kitchen!
Oh well, I am off to do some serious money juggling to find out the best way to pay.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Ouch at the tax bill, that's quite unexpected.
We can dream of new kitchens together, I'd love an island! A girl can dream.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
