Good luck with the weight loss challenge. Maybe you should try some new types of exercise. I used to hate 'exercising' until I realised that dancing and walking counted!2019 fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons0

Happy new year
We had a very quiet one, dd went (and is still out) at a party, so dh ordered in pizzas for us and the boys and we watched a film, then they went to bed and we watched the kings speech, we definatly know how to live it up.:rotfl:
Today we are at my mums for a roast dinner, and i am going to attempt ebaying again, our house is set to burst since xmas, some of it will have to go.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

ha ha, love your dd's style :rotfl:
We have been bowling this morning (dh paid again!) £15.60 for a family of four as I sat it out, we even managed to get dd out of her bedroom which is an accomplishment in itself.:D
I have to go and get some packed lunch bits as its back to school tomorrow but will go to the local shops so i won't be tempted to get a trolley.
So far no ebaying done, but have tried to do surveys, I think it must be very quiet at this time of year as there don't seem to be many around.
One task for today is to look at the offers on tcb , as they were doing good cashback on bingo sites hopefully doubling your stake, could be worth a go.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Today is the day the healthy eating/lack of wine starts, its easier when the kids (and hubby) go back, plus my friend is starting with me today.
I went to mr t extra yesterday, mainly to get out of the house for a bit, i am shocked how much food is, I don't really do the weekly trolley full thing like a lot of families and get odds and ends from all over, but the prices really have shot up and the quality was not what you would expect.
I did'nt do the tcb bingo thing yesterday, however I did de-clutter a few drawers in my bedroom and struck gold, literally! an old necklace which I have weighed should get me around £70 ish once I find the best dealer, that can be included in this months £167 target for the up the income challenge. :jMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Food prices are terrible aren't they and they seem to keep rising. Well done on the find, money can be found in all sorts of places! Wish I had some gold to sell!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

seems everyone is feeling the pinch on the food front. I'm always amazed whenever Tesco post reports of crazy profits who is silly enough to shop there and pay their silly prices on a regular basis. Even their value lines aren't cheap anymore. And what gets me even more annoyed is all the offers on processed crap when we have to pay for the nose for anything halfway decent.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0

It seems so busy on the mfw board at the moment, there's usually only a handful on here at any one time. I can't keep up with reading all the new diaries.
Budget going ok this month so far, although I have 4 birthdays which doesn't help. But feeling fairly positive about me earning some more this year.
I did have a bit of a shock though this morning as i went on rightmove to have a nose at a house for rent a few doors up and found out it had been sold 2 months ago for £214K which is quite a lot lower than I thought, ours has a conservatory but other than that its the same size. That will not help matters with the valuation in ours if we are trying to re-mortgage I supppose. We are on a main road which makes a difference I know, but identical houses in the road behind us go for £250K.
Anyway, we will probably stay with the same provider when our deal is up as i don't think anyone else will lend to us, so i guess its not that important.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
I feel like a zombie this morning, the dog has been barking in the night due to the wind, starting at 2am, luckily she has'nt woken the kids up though.
Today I'm off for a long walk in my new tracksuit, I thought if i look sporty i might feel a bit sportyNo other excercise done though this week which is not a great start to the fitness kick.
DD has been wanting her room decorated again, it was done about 2 years ago but some of the paint has worn off near the door. I have held off so far "incase we get the loft done" but even if we did that would not be for 2 or 3 years.
She has such a small room there is no room for a wardrobe but I have just realised we could fit a fabric argos type wardrobe at the end of the bed as there is no room for a door to open. So I need to get a wardrobe , paint and a new blind and bed clothes. I would love to get the whole thing done for under £100, which should be possible if I don't get carried away.
Today as its friday I will be wanting to eat curry this evening, this is probably a throwback from when we were first married and the kids were little, it was a weekly treat a takeaway, a video and some wine. We did this every week whether we could afford it or not, which is probably the start of our money issues!
Anyway tonight dh will have turkey curry (of course!) and I am going to make an aubergine curry, and a chickpea and spinach curry on the side, homemade nan as well. Not very low cal. but better than a takeaway, plus I have everything needed already.
I am really starting to enjoy creating cheap meals, I've ditched the meal planning and an just either using what I have or buying what is on offer.Yesterday i used a pack of chicken thighs and drumsticks £2 , the kids had the drumsticks with leftover frozen xmas day potatoes, cabbage and sweetcorn, and dh had a summer veg type casserole, tomatoes, garlic, cougette, onion, leek all in the sc with roast chicken resting on top.
eek, its 7.30! must go get the kids upMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
