eBay - how to report non-business seller?

  • Hi All

Please think twice before reporting anybody at the moment for not being a registered business seller.

This could be down to the current ebay glitch, where details are not showing.

I am a registered business seller, but no details showing on listings.

At the moment I'm getting a bit fed up as I have received 2 messages from what must be competitors telling me I'm in the wrong and they are going to report me!

Then there is no harm done is there as ebay can hardly suspend you for not being a business when their records show you are.

True, I know ebay won't suspend me. I guess I'm just annoyed and at a loss as to what planet some people live on, with their perverse sense of realilty that they feel the need to contact you and point the finger and tell you they are going to report you, without knowing all the facts.

Why so bothered? What has this person done to you?
Why are so many posts on this forum about dobbing people in - is it a new sport?
Not a sport, just the law.

Why does it matter so much to you, worried you'll get caught?

Why? whats it got to do with you ? i dont understand why you think you need to? ebay will pick them up if they go over the magic number (whatever that is)

    Hi

Again - as per my reply to macfly - I do not have to justify to you why I want to do this. I am entitled to ask a question on this forum and hope for some answers to it (thanks to those who have offered suggestions) without getting into a debate over my reasons.

Just go to their listings. report the item then you can report them for not displaying business details. Thanks for the clarification

Which choice from the two drop down lists is it specifically for reporting not displaying business details?

No dave - I've been a business seller from the off, it's cheaper to run. I just don't share the eagerness of the pack to tell everyone how to conduct themselves if it's not harming me.
The only difference I can see in being a business seller is the right to just change your mind if you buy from them. To me that's a concession to the ever growing moron army, but again I've not suffered.
I wonder how eager some of you are to enforce the law in your local area. Not very would be my guess.
From an Inland Revenue memo - the top two professions for tax evasion are doctors and lawyers.

You go to listing policy breaches then to other and it's at the bottom of the third drop down box.

macfly- the OP has specifically said that they don't want to bicker, there are many reasons why someone may be opposed to private businesses, but this is not the place for discussing it.
Maybe start a thread if it bothers you. :)
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p
