Why so bothered? What has this person done to you?
Why are so many posts on this forum about dobbing people in - is it a new sport?0 -

Hi macfly
I asked for some help on how to do something on eBay and several people have replied with some great suggestions. I am entitled to do this without being made to feel that I am doing something wrong.
Although this issue may not bother you, it does me. So I welcome any help regarding my original question but do not wish to get into a debate with you about the rights and wrongs of 'dobbing people in'.0 -
Try the forums or answer centre on ebay?0

I apologise if I haven't read this correctly, you know someone who is selling their own personal belongings & you want to report them as they are registered as a business seller, when they should have a personal account?
If that's right that's a turnaround as most people are businesses but selling on a personal account.
It could be that they are not a business but ebay have decided in their infinite wisdom that they must be because they've had a flurry of activity. A couple posts up from this on your thread, somebody has said that ebay have made them register now as a business and they only sell their own belongings.
I don't actually think that there's any benefit for someone to register as a business when they aren't.
They will need to register as self employed & do a tax return. Offer refunds.
All sorts of extra things.0 -
Hello
Can someone point me in the right direction? I want to report a non-business seller who is selling as a business (on eBay) but can't figure out where to do it.
If i pick one of their listings and click 'report item' I get tons of options to report them for but nothing to do with 'report private seller selling as business seller' or similar.
Thanks
Just because you are registered as a business on ebay does not mean you are one in the eyes of the HMRC. Ebay are forcing some private sellers to register as a business with ebay because of the amount they are selling. It still doesn;t mean they are a business. If ebay are forcing people to register you trying to report them is pointless. As Hernum said it will probably cost them more as they don't ge6 free 99p listings and will also have to adhere to the DSRs
I think you are wasting time and energy on something that isn't technically wrong Business sellers have been getting annoyed with private sellers who are obviously business's due to the free 99p listings. I have never before heard of someone thinking the opposite untill this thread.

There are numerous similar threads on the ebay community boards if you have a look. You seem to have got the wrong end of the stick with your campaign
Reading most people's replies it seems that they think you wish to report a private seller who is a business which explains their replies.
But reading your original post I concur with Hernum it sounds like you wish to report a business seller because you don't think they are a business and should ba a private seller.I have never heard of anyone wanting to do this before.

I suppose the answer is to keep plugging-away at Ebay. Eventually someone will take notice.Never Knowingly Understood.

Sorry for any confusion. I was obviously not clear enough! The seller in question is a private seller. They are selling LOTS of identical, brand new items. Way too many to be just having a clear out of personal stuff. They do not appear to be registered as a business. I want to report them for this. Hope I am making sense!0
