Thomas Cook on the black list for me, completely abandoned us.
Has anyone received refunds from BA for hotel and food bills yet? I sent my receipts off a couple of weeks ago but haven't heard anything.0 -
Sorry but I think that sending your receipts off like that was a big mistakedebbiefletcher wrote: »Thomas Cook on the black list for me, completely abandoned us.

In my case it was Air France.
I only send them a list of expenses and photo copies of all the receipts.
If they then refuse to pay I at least still have the original receipts to approach my insurance company with
I assume you were insured
Some insurance companies are paying up but only after the airlines have refusedIWasLookingBackToSeeIfSheWasLookinBackToSeeIfIWasLookinBackAtHer.....0 -

I sent copies, I've kept the originals, we are insured through Thomas Cook but when we contacted them at the time, they said they would not be responsible, if we have no luck from BA we will try the insurance company again.0 -
Not yethave you heard back from AF yet.
just after the eruptions AF moved their customer services to Paris(I wonder why).
Their UK office wont talk to me.
Phone contact is not possible. Its either snai lmail or by using their mail form on their website
Their London office admitted that it may take 28 days for a reply (what a joke)
The travel agent I used has offered to mediate with them for me so hoping that they will have better means of contact I will be going down that routeIWasLookingBackToSeeIfSheWasLookinBackToSeeIfIWasLookinBackAtHer.....0 -
KLM offered me 400 euros for the first night of delays for 4 of us, heard someone else get offered around the same, 140 for hotels and then 50 for each passenger. I told them we wouldnt accept that as we were stuck in the US for 7 days.
I sent them scans via their website and they came back within 5 days, didnt think that was bad since we hadnt had a response for 3 weeks to simple questions. Its been nearly a week since I went back to them and nothing back as yet

Hi
My family were stranded in Barcelona during the volcanic ash eruption. We had to stay an extra week but did use the same air company (BMIbaby) to return. Therefore we just ran up hotel bills, etc.
I have sent copies of my receipts to BMIbaby as soon as we arrived back in England. All we sent were basic hotel bills, a few taxi fares to and from the airport and a couple of food bills. They are all reasonable bills.
BMIbaby have not had he courtesy to acknowledge receipt of my letter. I have written again just over a week ago and still have received no communication from them.
I would like to speak to someone there on the telephone but there is no number on there website (please correct me if I am wrong or is you know of a number I could ring).
I am so frustrated, please help or advise.
Thanks so much.:mad:0 -
I'm in the same position with BMI. Was about to send notice before action but I may hold off given similar backlogs.
2 Letters sent normally and one by recorded delivery, no acknowledgements or contact from them. Dates sent 22 April, 4 May and the last one on the 24 May.
It is quite amazing how a "large" company can operate without a contact phone number for complaints.0 -

Nope, I am in the same boat. My claim went off in mid-May and not even an acknowledgement so far. Surely it's not too much to expect a card or e-mail to say it is being dealt with? I think I'll try an e-mail to customer service.0
