I wouldn't want to wear my wedding dress on a beach stood by a disposable BBQ either, it would stink!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Are you not eating at the reception and that's why he wants a BBQ then?

You could go the whole hog and have a fire going and get a crate of tinnies to sup while your new husband is flipping the burgers! :D

It sounds awful to me, especially because of the way you have described the beach.

Oh and No, you are most definitely NOT a meanie!! x

Yes we are having food at the reception! lol. And we're going for a meal inbetween with just me him and the baby.

Also Disposable BBQ's aren't allowed on the beach, i dont want to be arrested on my wedding day.. :rotfl:

I have another BZ moment. I wont let OH dye his hair red as it wont match our black and white colour scheme & i wont let him cut it very short as i like it longer.
  • My confession is.......

I want everyone to wear black and white! It's our theme and I can honestly say I don't mind any of the ladies wearing white as my dress is a black/white mix!

I also hope my family can get along.... my parents are divorced and my dad's wife was my mam's ex best friend..... Keeping my fingers crossed but did warn them if they can't behave like adults then I will have to get the heavies out!

Also, if I had it my way, I'd pack off all of the oldies after the meal & have a big rave up & a neon wedding dress :D

this thread is fab!!! My worry is that everyones (mostly OH's side of the family and friends) will get too drunk and misbehave. That my sister will never find a dress we both like (bridesmaid) and that my mum is more worried about her outfit than mine :(

that's it for now but we've only just booked the date/venue so I'm sure there's plenty to come.

This thread is great- makes me realise that al the crazy stuff rolling around in my head isn't just me.

    To add to this
My H2be is a Groomzilla as he is demanding we spend £500-ish on chair covers for the reception because it will look more 'weddingy' and I'm not even bothered! :rotfl:

I have one of these too! We went to a wedding fair a few weeks back, and now he wants to go and visit one of the most expensive venues in our area, wants chair covers, wants a piper and wants to order really expensive stationery! Will be the first and last wedding fair I take him to lol!

LOL, my Groomzilla has been moaning at me since December to send our invites out as we're 'not giving our guests enough notice'- we didn't even book it till February and we're getting married next February! I sent out Save the Dates in late Feb/early March to keep him happy but he wanted the actual invites to go out a month later! They're going out when I decide they're going out- he can't out-zilla me!
