Sorry it was early and I didnt explain myself properly :( Sorry.

    Its OHs brothers child.

My sister is coming and shes not bringing her children.

That makes sense now ~ so not his brother, but his nephew, and you're not having your neices/nephews either.

    That's fair enough, glad you're not a meanie! :D

Im a (not so secret bridezilla) i shouted at OH for one of his wedding suggestions.

Im not a meanie honest! lol.
In our gap between the ceremony and the reception he wants us all to go to the beach with a disposable BBQ.
    1. I HATE the beach. I cant stand it.
    2. The beach is dirty.
    3. The beach is full of chavvy kids that throw stones at everyone!
    4. I dont want to wear my wedding dress to the beach.. lol.

I was like 'Its a wedding, not a beach party!' lol.
And he isn't even inviting his friends to the wedding now, so it would be my family (who wouldn't want to go) and his family (who i doubt would want to go) and me (who doesn't want to go at all)

    Am i a meanie? :p

I wouldn't want to wear my wedding dress on a beach stood by a disposable BBQ either, it would stink!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Are you not eating at the reception and that's why he wants a BBQ then?

You could go the whole hog and have a fire going and get a crate of tinnies to sup while your new husband is flipping the burgers! :D

It sounds awful to me, especially because of the way you have described the beach.

Oh and No, you are most definitely NOT a meanie!! x

i'm only starting the organising to my wedding (still have over a year to go) so i don't know what bridezillaish tendencies i'll have yet as the important part for me is the getting married to my lovely OH.

if i could get away with having a very quiet, very small gathering that would be my one wish but my dad is 1 of 14 and my mum is 1 of 7 so we don't do small gatherings!!!

ohhh actually i have figured out one

i wish my in-laws to be would listen to me and my OH about how best to get over to NI (they're travelling from Scotland) and where best to stay around my home town, which is fairly small place and doesn't have great bus service like the do over there.

all be it my OH is also dispairing of that fact that they're trying to organise stuff without talking to us first and seeing if it's actually possible lol so maybe he's a groomzilla! i'm sure it will be all fine though. :rotfl:

My mum told me not to pick one of my bridesmaids because she's too pretty - I thought, thanks mum! *rolls eyes*

I was just super dumb. All three are stunners (and thinner than me) and then I have two gorgeous little ones as flower girls. *sigh* that'll teach me!:rotfl:

LOL, my Mum told me to pick 'fat' bridesmaids so I look thinner!

I'm a Bridezilla and I don't want BiL2B's GF in my photos. She's horrid, not going to be around for long and she'll just ugly up my wedding pictures!

As we're getting married abroad I want all of the men in long sleeved white linen shirts with the sleeves rolled up- not short sleeves! I don't know why the thought of this upsets me so much but I'll go mental if any of the close family/ bridal party turn up in short sleeve shirts as they know what I want! You'd think getting married abroad would mean that I don't have to worry about silly things but here I am hyperventilating about shirt sleeves! :rotfl:
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

My friend was a bridezilla, and she asked us all to wear lilac (her side of the family and friends) We all searched high and low for outfits, and we all did it - photo's look fab!!

I was a bridezilla too, and had absolutely no children at my wedding - love the little darlings, but wanted everyone to be relaxed and not wondering where little Joanna was! I also wanted the best man not to get drunk and hit on all my friends - but didn't get my wish!!

    Good luck all
  • My names Littlemadam and I am a Bridezilla.

I cant cope with the fact soon to be BIL has got engaged 6 weeks before our wedding and his parents coo over him like anything already and ignore my fiance, their other son!

AND I do not want my mum there when I am getting ready, she is stressing me out already

My confession is, despite trying to be MSE, I've fallen in love with a venue that's costing £15K for the ceremony, reception & food for 150 people.
I can't bring my self to look at the really cheap alternatives now :o

I'm admitting to one bridezilla-ish tendency (there are a lot more but this is the only one I'm admitting to :p) and that's me reminding H2B on a weekly basis that if he drinks more than 2 glasses of alcohol at the reception then I will go to bed without him.

I have no problem with him enjoying a drink but he is well known for making "inappropriate comments", trying to dance like Michael Jackson and removing articles of clothing if he starts on a 3rd glass of wine/beer/whatever. I have his son and my son and daughter both monitoring him on the day...I'm thinking of making him sign something too! :D
