Im a Bridezilla and my confession is...

I hate that i have been blackmailed into having my OH brothers new girlfriends kid at the ceremony!!!

I have already told my best friend (politely) leave her kid at home - so why should i let a kid i don't even know come?!?!?!?

Also MIL2B has told OH he can't invite his uncle because he likes to drink and get emotional - why the hell can't he come? Everyone else will be drinking!!!

I am blaming it all on MIL2B and OH brothers new girlfriend (who decided to propose to OH brother in front of everyone 2 weeks before xmas - after knowing him 6 months and ruined it for me and my OH because we had decided to get engaged for xmas!) Now MIL2B spends all her time talking about the cow!

Also MIL2B made me change the invitations to her side of the family because my poem about not having a gift list said Cash & B&Q vouchers - had to take out the cash! How petty - all te other invitations went out with Cash on it - and if you knew me and my OH you would know we would rather have the cash! (OH said yesterday when B&Q voucher arrived that he was going to ebay it for the money!)

MIL2B has also not said a word about the 3 & half stone i have lost - and has not even asked about the dress i am wearing! (not that i would tell her!)

Will probably be ranting a whole lot more in next month or so!

I think the whole point of this thread is that its tongue in cheek and a laugh. Everyone who has posted knows they are being irrational and we would never speak these things out loud but sometimes its very nice to rant and speak our silly over sensitive thoughts.

No need! They all pretend they don't care about colors etc and then they do this! ;)

I can hear her voice in my head everytime I get all demanding! oops :o
  • Sorry if anyone thought I was being critical - I was trying to reassure us lovely brides to be that it'll be ok even if it doesn't look/go perfectly, and that it's not worth falling out with family & friends or getting so stressed you get ill. (I was getting worried about some blood pressure readings in this thread!!)

'Twas the benefit of my experience, and you are perfectly in your rights to totally ignore it & me if you so wish!
  • Herbiecat and a couple of others have put it so well,

This is a light hearted thread to let you vent about the little things you know in reality don't count, but for your own day they really do!

Thanks joolz, but maybe not take everything so seriously next time! This has been one of the nicest threads going on on the wedding forum, please lets not spoil it now. . .

I started this thread, VERY tongue in cheek about those moments when a thought goes through your head and for the briefest moment you actually consider it to be reasonable until the BZ fog clears and you realise you are being bit over the top about the issue. In this board we all have a moment and we know everyone here will understand! Second time around for me too, but still want to throttle the MIL2B at times :D
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:
