I know the UK version is not released until March but I'm sure Nintendo should be able to get hold of some early !!! ;-)
my post was in reply to the one quoted above it, i meant that if you ordered from that link you would get an asian one. yes i'm very sure nintendo will be sending me a UK one, they better do or i shall have to put on my angry customer hat0 -
the mario game is the full version too0

I think as previously mentioned there are no region specific versions of this machine , they are all identical. We asked friends from Japan to bring us one back at Christmas for our son . We paid approx £70 for this which is what they sell for in any Japanese high street store. The only thing we needed to change was the language setting from Japanese to English. We used the Game boy SP charger . We also downloaded the English manual directly from the Nintendo web site.
I think £129 is very expensive and this price will fall dramatically as soon as the console goes mainstream and GAME, ToysRUs and other big players join the market. After all the shipping costs for this device are next to nothing.
I would either wait until the prices come down or if you know any one who visits Japan ask them to bring it back.Be Kind0 -

Thats the point though, the DS will cost £99 when released with games costing from £20-£30. With the offer you get the limited edition 'VIP Pack' (only 5000 of them for Europe) which gives you the Mario full game and an extra demo and t-shirt.
Yes it cost more over here than Japan and Amarica, but that is expected. There will not be any price cuts any time soon.0 -

After all DS plays the old games. The PSP is a new console without any backward compatibility. Not only that but theres a flaw in the PSP where one of the buttons isn't as responsive as it should be, yet Sony are saying its meant to be that way
The PSP does have better graphics and looks nicer on the eyes but If History's anything to go by this does not make the PSP a better machine to go for.
Yep I agree, can anyone remember the Atari Lynx 1, Atari Lynx 2, Sega Game Gear or Neo Geo Pocket colour? All were Colour and superior to the Gameboy (especially the Lynx and Game Gear a these were released when the Game Boy was still in Black and White!).
The DS will do quite well as it will be great for Kids, From what I have seen the PSP will be aimed more at Adults but it will face stiff competition form mobile Phones and PDA's.0 -
From what i've seen it doesnt look like the DS will only be great for kids!
the linux port will be nice when they get wifi access sorted and we can browse web, send emails etc, as well as the massive multiplayer games i have no doubt are being developed!
now, i just need to get through to pay for it lol, the phones are jammed0 -
Has anyone actually managed to get through to place an order.0

Yes I got through around 10am this morning after about 10 mins of redialling. Asked when they will be shipped out and the girl said she didn't know!
Email states 48hrs and their site states within 28 days, so will just have to wait and see!0 -
Got straight through this morning, after many failed attempts yesterday. Quoted 5-7 days, so delivery early next week with a bit of luck.0
