I know, I was so proud to tell everyone my mum made it. It tastes ace too - plus I got to do LOADS of cake trials!! BONUS!

The butterflies has pearlescent tipped wings and were cute as hell.

She said it cost her about £500 to make though cos she had to buy all the cutters and tools new. But still, WELL worth it in my opinion.

All of those cakes look AMAZING!!! Any slices left :-)?

We were going to make our own, but thought it might be quite stressful...but by chance (when we were still toying with the idea of making our own) I found a Waitrose wedding cake booklet, and they do a two-tiered (there are others and cheaper/more expensive available) cake (sponge one layer, fruit the other) to serve our guests (90?) for £95. It's two tiered with the middle missing (if that makes sense) where you could have flowers etc in between. That's what we're going for...I know why people would want to do their own, it's so cheap, and the satisfaction etc., but blinking heck, I would be up to my eyeballs in icing and cake mixture and stressing at my wonky cake, which is too much for me!!!!

Can't remeber who it was, one of the Shel's I'm sure, fancied an Alice IN Wonderland theme, saw this cake and thought it would be PERFECT!
