What sort of wedding cake are you having, how much does it cost, and what would you say was a reasonable price for a wedding cake? pics would be great too
im thinking about making my own wedding cake (heard thats its bad luck though???!!!)
i make wedding cakes anyway...but the local cake shop was shocked to hear how much i charge...she charges approx £600 for a 3 tier wedding cake....whereas i can make one for roughly £120?? her jaw nearly hit the floor when i told her LOL
whats ur perfect wedding cake??

I'll be buying the tiers from M&S as my cake-baking skills are pretty dire and decorating them with ribbon. Total cost about £100. Unless of course you're in the south east and available because £120 is a bargain haha!0

I want a croque en bouche (sp?) but DF isn't taken with the idea. Apparently it doesn't look like a cake so we're not having it *sigh*
So now back to the drawing board. My wonderful sister and her hubby are giving us £500 for a cake (I can't imagine we will spend all of that on a cake!) but it means we can really splash out if we want to.:D
My goodness, you are cheap :rotfl:;)A lot of people will be making their own cakes on here, so if you want to, go for it!0 -

they got quoted £900 before coming to me!!! (o...just been informed as a new user i cant post links......will edit when ive made a few more posts LOL)
wanttogetwed....just be careful...its a LOVELY design, but the tiers are a little 'lumpy' if u can see past that, then its fine, great price becasue those crystal things arent cheap
