Hi
I am on JSA and have failed to attend 2 interviews with the Compliance officer. As a consequence I have been sanctioned and they have also stopped my JSA however I do have a rescheduled interview.
Last year in November I had a temporary job which only lasted 4 days and I didnt tell them.
So......
I was wondereing if they may have found out via the Inland Revenue because I was taxed for the 4 days and paid NI ???
Could anybody explain any other possible reasons why they would want to see me if the above was unlikely???
Can anybody advise me what action I should take from here ???
Please dont judge me I am aware of my error and will face whatever I am due, it would just be nice to know what I am going into.
Many thanks

I would imagine they have found out and you will be made to pay back the JSA you got on those 4 days.0

Hi
I am on JSA and have failed to attend 2 interviews with the Compliance officer (1st one in JAN and the 2nd in MARCH). As a consequence I have been sanctioned and they have also stopped my JSA (since the 1st of APRIL ), however I do have a rescheduled interview tomorrow.

the customer compliance officer is a 'fancy' name for a visiting officer ,
i deal with OAPS and never use this title as straight away as it gets people worried.
they have to see so many a year to check on their benefits make sure they are at the right address etc. and to make sure claims are still valid.
it has been known for people to carry on claiming when not in the country as now you get benefits into your bank account its the only way of checking.
they may do a benefit check for you to see if any other benefits can be claimed or try and signpost you to any other places that can help.
i its amazing how much extra cash we get people as they are not aware of their rights.
if you haven't done anything wrong and i don't doubt for one moment you will have
you have nothing to worry about and it may be to your advantage.:oAutism isn't the end of the world just a journey to another one:)
:eek:Why do people answer your questions just to be rude and unhelpful, don't like my question please don't answer:eek:0 -
So do the DWP run checks with the Inland Revenue to see if JSA claimers have worked??0

They all work together and inform each other, but it is down to the claimant to inform of changes if not they will do checks from time to timeSo do the DWP run checks with the Inland Revenue to see if JSA claimers have worked??:oAutism isn't the end of the world just a journey to another one:)

My advice ...see what they say first and if they know they know there isn't anything you can do about it,I think theres a good chance they know then, what should I do, Isnt it a bit late to confess now?:oAutism isn't the end of the world just a journey to another one:)
