oooh that EDD list moves fast doesnt it!

I'm only 16th from the bottom now

What happens at a 16 week check up? They forgot to do one for me apparently, so I have to go in on Monday (when I'll be 18 weeks!) to meet with the midwife.

Is it just a weigh-in/general check how you're doing kind of thing?

Oh and we've still got an old fashioned tv with the HUGE back that weighs about 5 tonnes! We're so retro...I still listen to lp's too! :p
16 week check...umm......very boring, makes sure general health is ok, quick chat about any concerns you've got and a listen to the heartbeat, think thats all they did at mine:) HTH
No way do you still have LPs:eek::p Gotta admit though, I used to love listening to my Mums, there's something lovely about putting an LP on, much nicer than shoving a cd/MP3 player in a slot/hub:o

Thanks KK will have a flick through my book tonight:)

    Hi Ladies, (and men sometimes)

Have been without internet for a whole 13 days!!!!! stupid BT have been lurking on my phone though...

    Congrats Pigpen, squeek is gorgeous!

I'm another October mummy and I have now finished work so I have a long 9 and a bit weeks ahead of me! have been started on iron tablets, asked for spatone doc said no, hope they kick in soon as i have no energy whatsoever, even folding laundry kills me at the moment.
Haven't been a housewife ever (met OH when i was already working) so am trying my best to be a 'Nigella' lol (would've said Anthea but someone ruined it lmao)

Picked up a few more primani bits for hospital case today, actually find it really funny that i pretty much have everything ready altogether in a drawer but i'm really determined that i won't pack my case until I'm nearly 38 weeks << weirdo!

Still have no idea which pram i am going to get all of them have pros and cons and I really can't decide, planning to buy everything at the end of this month as i have my redundancy and oh has a good wage ( i'm not short on wipes though, think i have about 17 packs have been picking them up whenever i see them on offer, if its a £1 or under I buy

Going to use my tesco vouchers for the steriliser as i have about £30 vouchers so £60 doubled and will get some other bits too for free

Thats all for now, if any newbies want to add me on FB i'm Steph George pic is me and my two boys, i'm wearing a red top, both have spiky hair one is ginger, i tend to lurk on here but i'm on there most of the time x
29 year old SAHM to two boys 13 & 5 and a little pink princess >1

Delain I work for a charity in a poor part of Wales and you would not believe the amount of massive tv's we gave donated! Most are out of kids rooms too! We even were given flat screen as some people wanted the all in 1 digi tv's when it all switched over!

Shhhhhhhh with talking about 3D TVs my OH could hear! I've only just paid off the 50" one in our living room, NO MORE! I find this one stupidly big I wana 32"!

But Fuzz, you're forgetting you're a young slip of a thing. I'm over 10 years older than you!

I was a kiddie in the 80's and lp's were all the rage! :D

I love my vinyl, and OH being a bit of a DJ has hundreds of records..they take up a load of room actually.

Thanks for the heads-up om the 16 wk check. Had a feeling it was going to be a dull one. BUT...it gets me out of work on Monday, so fine by me! :T

Had a quick listen to the heatbeat on Wednesday anyway, but it'll be interesting to see exactly how much weight I've put on. I think its about 5lbs or something.

How am I going to get to heaven?,

Big bird they can often say you have a big baby when baby is high up in your tummy or quite long, they told me both mine were gonna be big babies because the of the height of my fundus, however, DS was 7.5lbs and dd only 5.9lbs both full term, am measuring a week over now at 25 wks but i know baby is very high up and midwife comfirmed this.
I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.
