there are 2 sizes, one for people who've not had a vaginal birth and one for those who have! I think they are fab and would never go back to tampons or pads!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

hi
just looking for a bit of advice from you lovely ladies if you wouldn't mind....
i'm 35 weeks today and have had really bad spd since 21 weeks, i'm now taking paracetamol, codiene and tramadol just to make shuffling round bearable. Have seen physio and been given excercises and hydrotherapy but its really not helped much, they also gave me a belt to wear if i walk long distances but obviously not really doing this at the mo..
I'm now completley freaking out about giving birth as last week ended up in hospital with a uti, they tried to do a speculum exam 3 times but i can't open my legs wide enough for them to be able to look and all 3 doctors abandoned the mission.
So now i'm wondering if i'll actually be able to give birth naturally at all, my son was a 40 hour labour and ended up with failed ventouse and eventually forceps to get him out and obviously they put me in stirrups to do this. Now while i know i can have an epidural and not feel the pain the physio said it could make things worse for my pelvis after the birth if this was to happen again.
So am now wondering if i should ask for a c-section as even talking about giving birth or writing this down has me in floods of tears and panicking.
any help much appreciated0 -

Congrats Kym, pls let me have a labour like that!!
Rach a lady is coming over tomorrow with a basket, but thanks. He didn't say anything directly but seemed quite guilty for a few days afterwards!!
Just back from seeing Toy Story 3 and dinner at Ikea, making the most of our bubs free time!! Got my tesco order, seems quite good stuff if anyone needs sheets and blankets. Whilst I was there used my vouchers and got 2 lots of size 2 pampers nappies (64 pack), 1 size 1 huggies nappies and huggies pure wipes for £13, as some of it was on offer in the first place. I have 3 packs of size 1 nappies which I think is enough to see me through the first few days and see how big/small bubs is too . .
I'm a towel person as don't like sticking stuff up there, which was made worse when I lost the string on a tampon at work and thought would have to go to a and e to get it out, but managed in the end!Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

morning everyone x
me too sir monster, I've tried the mooncup and don't like having to break the suction to get it out and I've tried tampons twice, once when I was forced to at 14 by my older sister who insisted I'd be bullied if I used towels - erm how was anyone else going to ever know. Then I heard its easier once you are sexually active so tried again when older and still didn't like it, I can feel the mooncup and I can feel the tampons all the time but I hardly notice I have the always on. I have very light 3-4 day periods so pads are ideal.
emsywoo I always say I'll make the most of the lack of periods when pregnant and go swimming all the time, I can count on one hand the number of times I've had the energy to go swimming.
I'm going to try my best to get some stuff done today since I only have the closest school run. Taking DS to feed the ducks and play in the park this morning then I have to absolutely must sort out the clean washing and do some ironing. Might start packing for our hols too, not going for over a week but don't want to have something in the wash I wanted to take.0 -
morning all, I have GT test this morning and I'm starving already! I also suddenly thought whilst on the loo when I got up 'I wonder if I am supposed to take urine'...oops, letter says first morning urine! SO I have been trying to squeeze more out in the hope it will be ok!
sir monster - great about the basket, are you still around tomorrow lunchtime ish? I have midwife at 2.15 and am supposed to be working from home in the morning but could take lunch/coffee from 12ish. Oooh, we are going to see Toy Story 3 sometime soon, DH said we should go upto Leicester Sq which would be fun. I only saw the first 2 last weekend...I'm useless with films! Wish I could drag dh to ikea though, he hates it and we always fall out there!
hope everyone is ok. I'll be back on later no doubt!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

My feet have gone down a little overnight but are still fairly huge.. and my pelvis is crippling it woke me up about 6 times last night.. along with the heartburn.. but I was too tired to reach for the gaviscon and it was too much like hard work to get out of bed to get it.
I am so sick of this..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
