Well I went to see the midwife today and got told off because she hasn't seen me since my booking in :o

Spoke to her about OH and his waterbirth plan, and about the size of DD1 and being worried about a very undignified ambulance trip :rotfl: She did say in her opinion I'd be better off being booked in at the big hospital because of the level of pelvic pain (I was having major walking issues when I got there lol) and because DD1 was so big. I've never gone into labour on my own, so this is all academic and I may end up being induced anyway.

Apparently I'm measuring fine, which is nice.

    Congrats MV :T

SLM i'm going to try the hypnobirthing techniques as well i have a set of cd's as i couldnt afford the classes they are nearly £300 around here. I find the CD's very relaxing infact i normally end up dozing off but apparently that is ok. I think i paid £30 for the full set of discs which includes a relaxation cd for the first 31wks the birthing cd which is from 31wks to when you give birth, a post natal recovery cd for after the birth and a cd with just the music on it to play during the labour.

I was having some problems with the visualisation i just couldnt do it but it seems to be clicking into place now once i have it down i will introduce the OH to it so he can use some of the techniques to help me during the labour. I think alot of it is accepting that labour isnt some awful torture that we have to endure but a very natural process that our bodies know how to deal with if we just let them and that alot of the pain we percieve is caused by our tention and fear of what is happening to us. I do think that as part of antenatal classes that the NHS gives out they should teaching relaxation techniques as a minimum but as with everything in this country we are taught the mechanics but never the emotional stuff.

Metranil Its good see you back congratulations :-) xx

They do relaxation classes here - I don't think you have to pay for them.

I have just noticed a 3 for 2 in Homebase on paint, but it's the Endurance paint, which is washable but more expensive. I want to get everywhere painted but OH has banned me from painting on the basis that I can hardly walk after 6pm, and I feel bad about making him do it because he said the other day that my house is like the Severn bridge - by the time he's finished the last lot of painting I want him to start again :o

Also, Do I really need 15l of yellow paint? gaaah :wall: I hate baby brain.

I'm looking at a nice colour for my lounge which is sort of yellow, but the colour I wanted for the hallway is kind of yellow too and if it's all a bit too much yellow I know I will just have to live with it for a year or so :rotfl:

Congrats MV! So pleased for you :)

I'm also doing hypnobirthing, also couldn't afford classes plus nearest is hours away. My book and CD was fairly cheap off Amazon. The book is quite an interesting read, but I do keep falling asleep when listening to the CD :) I don't even wake up for the waking bit at the end. I hope it still helps!

    Hi all,

get here then forget everything i have read!

SaratheChemist - both times I have told my other child/children right after the 12 week scan, my youngest is 4 too and dealing well with having to wait along time (especially as he has a new baby cousin and covers his ears everytime he cries - after hearing him cry for the first time after we left and were driving along in the car this little voice piped up out of nowhere and said ' *sigh* this nightmare baby will be here soon' oh what fun i'm going to have lol

Well I've been signed off work for the past 2 weeks due to excrutiating back pain which they keep telling me is muscular and nothing can be done :( was the same with last pregnancy but came much later in pregnancy and would start late afternoon til night this time its late morning and only goes when i'm sleeping

Names - we are struggling with this one, DS1 is called Kade (was going to be Keith Aidan or Dean so I put the 3 first letters together and added an E to make it sound like a name, DS2 is Leo - full initials L-RAT poor child, keep changing our mind over this one

Hope this lets me post as have tried postin a few times over the past few weeks and it fails...fingers crossed...

(oh congrats MV!! and Sammy hope you get going soon x)

    Morning all......................again

    Am
    a) still here
    b) still pregnant
    c) now have a stinking cold to add insult to injury!

Saw midwife yesterday and she gave me a sweep although it seems to have done nothign because babies head wasnt down far enough for her to be able to push against although everything is 'soft but thick' - and i did have a few little bits come out last night but I think it was gunk she had loosened in her attempt so my week now looks like this

Today - Ben on a school trip to a transport museum. I shall be cleaning and dying on the sofa.
Tomorrow - going to my mother in laws after school run, then seeing consultant at 11. Hoping she can book me in for Friday induction and that the hospital ward has space! Possibly another sweep as I'll be 41 weeks. Then teachers evening tomorrow night.
Friday - possibility of being induced if all goes well on Thursday - if not sleeping/sneezing/coughing and possibly a batch cooking day before babe is due
Saturday - midwife will come out to do another sweep at the house.
Sunday - chilling out! (the hospital won't induce on a weekend!)
Monday - possible induction if not done before hand!

Its going to be a long bloody week.
    Time to find me again

    DOH!!!!

WHY IS THERE NO ONE ABOUT WHEN I NEED TO ASK AN IMPORTANT QUESTION!!!! :)

    Plugs

I WARN YOU IF YOUR EATING DON'T READ ON

Just been to the toilet and there is - what I can only describe - as a piece of snot in my knickers. Its about 2 inches long, and a greeny/dark yellow colour and looks to have a sort of grainy consistancy.

Is this my plug??? I had my sweep yesterday and did lose a little bit if gunk yesterday that was brown tinged but presumed it was just what she had loosened when trying to do the sweep.

Should I be getting my hopes up or no?
    Time to find me again
