It must be women recruiting the anesthetists at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey. I met two with ds and they were gorgeous and then today I have my pre-op meeting and this god of a man is there waiting for me. Can't wait till tuesday, do my hair, makeup and oh my gosh, what am I gonna wear?? :rotfl::wall:0

Just had a thought. This is OH's first but when I was pregnant with DD I got told about something they could do with the cord blood or something....what's that called again? What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0

isnt it for stem cells nene?
ive read only certain hospitals do it, and you have to pay.Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Nene i just wondered if you were thinking of letting the cord stop pulsing before its cut as i have been led to believe that they cant harvest the stem Cells if you do. I have done a bit of research as i want my cord left alone until it stops pulsing i look it up as there was a big hoohaa in america becasue they automatically cut the cord as soon as baby arrives normally so they could harvets the cells for research purposes however there is research that has been done to say it benefits the baby if these cells are allowed to flow normally and the cord isnt cut.
I dont know the reason behind why you asked just thought i would let you know you can have a look yourself :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
CAFC, I won't tell him!
Delain, congratulations on another pink! Is it just me, or does there seem to be a flurry of pink lately?
Nene, some places do cord blood banking, there's ones you have to pay for, which I think are for your own personal use if (god forbid) one of your kids gets sick and needs it. There are also ones that you can donate the cord blood too, and it's for research and treatment purposes. I have no idea how you go about it though.
