It is only a problem if the baby contracts it while in the womb.. once it is born it is just chickenpox like any other. If mum has had it already it isn't an issue really.. the antibodies are already there. Plus they are only contagious until all spots have scabbed over so in a few days it'll be fine.

2 of mine had CP's as newborns (15 and 17 weeks) and had maybe half a dozen spots apiece.. so it isn't really a problem.. at least they won't have to have time off school with it when they are bigger! :D

Thanks for the warning - i did freak a little at first but then turns out if you've had it already you should be fine...just gotta make sure bubs isn't born till it's gone - now thats a little harder to control

I had it when i was 14 - had a nasty time too so i must admit i'm a little glad DD has caught it so young, apparently it's little bother to them at this age. It's doing it's round among the kiddies here big time :( half her nursery have been affected so far so it was only a matter of time.

Can I come and rub my DD against yours so mine can have them aswell :D I want her to have them when she's young as she won't really know what it is and won't bother her as much as when she's older.
What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..

Lol, i said the same to one of the mums at DD ballet class - some of the mums thought i was crazy til i explained haha! I'd hate anyone to get it at the age i did or older - i still have loads of scars :(

Yes you are welcome to :p

Excellent find with mat jeans on blooming marvellous shame only short leg left but emailed it to my sister as she is a shorty compared to me!!

Didnt sleep so well last night hip and leg are so painful husband kept making me hot water bottles.

did get a bargain in tesco I knew the buy one get 2 free had finished on huggies wipes but they still had the sign up and knew they were now £1 a pack and they would have to give me double the difference (would have been total £1.04) only brought 3 packs as not to be obvious anyway self scanned then went to customer service who removed sign and said oh I owe you £4 as 2 of them are free and as £1 a pack at the mo will work on that, so basically my wipes were free plus I gained £1!!!

Also spent £30 on marks spencer on kids clothes, got some baby bits and also some bits for my nephews for birthday and xmas (pants and socks!!) then realised there was a code for £10 off a £50 spend on kids clothes never mind.

Nifty trick on the wipes Freebie!

Nene and MGEB, you remind me of my mum, she used to do stuff like that with us three. It's definately better to get things like when you're younger though, gets it all over and done with.

MW appointment went fine, bubs got a lovely heartbeat and measuring as it should. Got my form for the HiPG, and some stuff about the free antenatal pamper evenings they do. Might go along, even though it's in the really chav part of town. She did the bloods, but, bit of a PITA, got to go up to the hospital for my other anti D injection. Treated bubs to an icecream on the walk home for being a good baby (well that's my excuse anyway :))
