This thread moves too fast for me! Emsy - blue is the way forward

By the way - lanacane gell is a total waste of money. It does feel very silky, like it says it will, but it doesn't do a whole lot unless you smother it all over and even then its pretty shoddy. I took a tube to Greece with me last summer and it did nothing. Total waste of £5.0 -
I actually thought they made all first time mums with breech babies have a section. So I guess in that case it would of ended the same way anyway. His heartbeat dropped which was apparantly caused because he was breech.
How many weeks is everyone? I am worried this baby is big.. as I read you cant be induced after a section.. but if the drip is safe then thats good.
They keep telling me you cant labour aslong, your monitored more, etc etc. So I'm wondering if the time you are allowed to labour starts from the moment you go to hospital? As surely then the longer I prolong going in the longer I can labour? Which makes no sense lol.0 -
I've used beard trimmers before, and now I have one of those bikini trimmer things. I did epilate for a while but can't be bothered now.

Nope.. it is only what you ALLOW.. it is YOUR body not theirs.. you are not a piece of meat... ask them why to everything they suggest.. and ask what alternatives there are and don't ever beafraid to ask for a second opinion. First time mums are told they have to have a section and don't argue!!!
As far as labouring goes.. you are most likely to have a uterine rupture in the FIRST HOUR of labour OR as you are pushing.. everything in the middle is irrelevant pretty much.
Babies heart rates flucuate constantly in labour it was probably nothing to do with position.. DD3's heart dropped to 15 beats a minute.. DS2's stopped altogether.. neither was breech..
I always make them panic because my temp goes really high.. and the baby ends up freezing.. like I steal their body heat.. but that is normal for me!.. Glad thats not just me then i seem to be a little (well rather big until baby comes out) inferno my temperature rockets and i am literally dripping with sweat. The last midwife asked if i had been ill as i seemed to be running a fever but i told her no its normal for me.
Mumof1 lots of things can go wrong but it is highly likely that nothing will go wrong i can promise you this though if you go in worrying about it all you will be tense and nervous and the whole experience will be worse for it. Try to relax i highly recommend the hypno birthing cd's if you can get hold of one i only have the homebirth version not the hospital one otherwise i would send you a copy. You need to stay positive and remember you are in control. Best thing i was ever told is if they say they need to do something but the baby is in no immediate danger then say "can we wait 30minutes before we make a decision" this give you time to get things clear in your head and know what choice you want to make.:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
